HEIZO Mini Stick Welder Machine 110V, 160A ARC Portable MMA Welding Machine, IGBT Inverter Welder Digital Display with Hot Start Arc Force Anti-Stick

Aside from the cheesy mask and gloves, this machine is pretty great. Super light weight and compact. Works great for the occasional project or repair. Was a little skeptical about the amp settings vs reality, so I tested the accuracy using 3/32 6013 rod. On average the actual current was 20 amps under the machine settings. (At least with my machine. Your mileage may very)Good information to be aware of, but certainly not a deal breaker for me.

Plug and play! I pulled it out of the box and struck a arc. Welded very nice with 3/32(7014) rods.

The welder itself is fantastic. Does exactly what it’s supposed to - at up to a 48% duty cycle!!!! My fancy Hobart machine can’t even touch a 48% duty cycle.Best used for 1/16 and 3/32 rods, 6011 and 6013, welding 1/8-1/4” steel at about medium power setting (85 or so on the dial - I seriously doubt it’s really 85 amps).I don’t understand how this thing can be so small. It’s half the size of a shoebox and weighs less than a 6 pack of beer. No joke.I wish it was available WITHOUT the gloves, the “face shied”, and the chipping hammer/brush - because all three of those things are garbage quality. Spend another $60 and yourself a real helmet, real gloves and a real chipping hammer/brush. With what you’re saving over the cost of more expensive welder you can definitely afford to splurge some. Plus, if they didn’t include the awful gloves, face shield and hammer, it would be even cheaper.You’re right to be skeptical at this price point and imagine this thing is a toy. But it’s not. It’s a real, actual tool that really actually works.

This unit worked like a charm out of the box. It did abruptly cease to function shortly thereafter. I wont credit this to a quality or poor manufacturing issue though. It would seem that one of the igbt transistors were faulty. So using the unit slowly aggravated the issue until one or both transistors failed. As this company manufactured the unit, but not the individual components, the blame is a little more indirect. But, their customer service and communication is absolutely on point. They replied, addressed my issue, and helped solve it in 48 hrs total. Buy one. Give it a try. Convenient little unit to carry around.

It welds 6011, 6013 as well as the J 422 it came with. You have to figure out which number on the digital readout works for the stick under use (if you need 80 amps you might dial in 105 on the DRO). The number doesn’t reflect actual delivered amperage.My welder is actually branded Guediao but the guts for these $60 welders are about the same bc they’re made in the same room. For my little projects I never ran up against a duty cycle. A few tack welds, then run a 2” bead and done.

This thing surprised me. I figured it would work but with the usual nags that come with a budget priced Mini Welder. Wow! Was I wrong. I've done 4 welding jobs so far(amateur) and everything went flawless with the welder. My only complaint, the protective eye shield is, ahh, almost useless. But, for the price paid and the performance,it's well worth the asking price. I would recommend this for anyone, if you're a beginner, as I am, you can practice with this baby and you'll be impressed and happy with purchase. No, I'm not affiliated with this in any way. This tiny thing packs a punch! Comes with what is needed to start off, and works amazingly! Definitely worth the money to get this welder!

So, I rolled the dice regarding this unit as I'm always needing a welder at the most inopportune times. The reviews were from everywhere but Canada. It took 2 minutes to set up and I was making some passes on 3/16" flat bar a moment later. For a DIY homeowner, I doubt you'd ever need anything bigger/more expensive. If it lasts for the times that I need it, I scored.
