BUY ALL OF THEM!!
I was under the impression that this was a small little Buddhism bedtime themed story and I was absolutely blown away when I received this amazing book with over 118 pages. Cover to cover it is brightly illustrated and filled with stories. Each story has a themed lesson and at the end a little Buddha character named Hotei gives your child a piece of wisdom to take from it. The layout of the book is PERFECT in the front you have a table of contents listing the title of each story so you can allow your child to choose based on a title. It also has a brief intro on Buddhism and how to get the most use out of the book. In the back there's an index that will tell you what themes are in each story, such as "bullying" or "anger". This helps you locate stories that could be beneficial to your child depending on things they are dealing with or issues they are having trouble with. There is also an intro into meditation which I also thought was wonderful. If I could give it more stars, I would. Based on the price my expectations were just a small picture book, but this is so so so much more. I highly recommend this book and this Author. I only have one left in the series to buy.

Great story time for kids
Both the kids and I enjoyed our nightly stories with a lesson to learn. It is a great routine to develop with children.

Interesting stories with important lessons
Since buying this book, my 3.5 year old daughter has been asking me "can you read calm buddha?" every night before going to sleep. There is information about Buddha, the 4 noble truths, etc. in the beginning of the book, and then the vast majority of the book is the stories. There are cute colorful pictures in each story (though would be great to have more pictures on each page). At the end of each story is a summarizing sentence of the moral to be learned from the story. I liked this book so much I just bought the original Buddha at Bedtime.

Wonderful series with great morals
This book set is an all time family favorite- every edition is great! The stories are excellent and the moral lessons are thought provoking conversation starters that aren’t cliche or trite. Loved by our kids and family adults alike.

He is able to calm down better before sleeping
I use this book for my son who has severe anxiety, Tourette Syndrome, and OCD. At night I will read him one story from this book. After, he lays down and closes his eyes in order to do one of the guided meditations in the back of the book. This practice has been a game changer for him. He is able to calm down better before sleeping, he goes to sleep more quickly, his tics decrease for a short period of time, and his mood is always uplifted after. I have now purchased all of the Buddha at bedtime books and will use them for years to come.

I got this book for my daughter on her birthday, shes ADHD and I’ve been trying to work with her on deep breathing and meditation before, this amazing book of stories helps tie in mindfulness with her, she loves the stories and illustrations, and is always excited to see Buddha at the with a teaching from the story.

Favorite Bedtime Short Stories - Spur the Imagination/Feed the Soul
One of our family's favorites (children 3.5 and 6 yr), but we all benefit from the short interesting well-written stories that teach us all nuggets of wisdom. The stories spur the imagination (so important in this era of technology and devices all around us that think for us) and their morals and affirmations that send us off to sleep are priceless.

Brilliant book!
My son loves this book and we read this every night.. I think Buddhism needs to be taught at the toddler stage itself..kids will learn to expect tough times, sad times , happy times and be able to better deal with ups and downs of life

Kids love them
Our 6 and 8 year old kids love these books for bedtime. The 6 year old especially contemplates the messages of the stories - sometimes a day or two later will bring up what he learned. Cute illustrations, vivid colours, great quality.
