I have been building a variety of bowls using a scroll saw. These are very good for sanding the inside of the bowl. My key takeaways:1 - just use a spray can of air to fill it instead of a pump (but be careful)2 - be really careful around the edge of the bowl or you can rip the sandpaper3 - avoid sanding on the side of the bulb as it can deform and the sandpaper will slip.They don't last a long time in the best of circumstances, but I have not found a more effective tool

The tip to inflate the Guinevere ball using a can of air (used to clean off computers etc) works really well. The sanding balls last quite well-just have to make sure you get them centered on the ball so you do not get a lot of vibration when sanding at a high speed.

Arrived quickly and on time . They are the perfect product for difficult concave surfaces and come in coarse to fine grit.

I have to say that using an inflatable system to sand is a very sound idea. The inflatable 'balloons' have just enough flexibility to help contour to the work surface. This is the positive.The negative.... is that the sanding sleeves are NOT composed of a uniform surface. The sleeves have simply been cut out into a sort of 'star' shape and glued to a backing that holds them into a dome shape.The problem with this is.... that the edges of the sanding paper will often times catch on the edge of the work piece and not only cause the dome to go flying... but also sometimes damages the edge of the piece being worked on.When the Patent allows... I bet someone will make some good money by providing craftsmen with a fully formed sleeve to fit over the domes..... eliminating what has been a frustrating and maddening disappointment to the current product.I still use these.... but with a certain amount of trepidation.... dreading that moment when the edge on the sanding sleeve catches on the edge and goes flying across the studio. Just poorly designed sleeves... but I am sure an after market solution is just waiting for the chance to improve.For now..... proceed with caution.
