Laila Ali LADR5602 Ionic Styler Dryer, Purple and Black

This is a great blow dryer if you are looking for something similar to the VS1875. The attachments are the same, also. The air velocity is great. I bought an extra one to have on hand as they don't seem to last more than a couple of years. They seem to all suffer the same fate - loose connection where the cord is attached to the blow dryer, even though there is the stabilizer. I have never had a problem with these overheating. If you like this style of dryer, I highly recommend this one.

I purchased this product but never got to use it because it was loud, smelled like it was burning & would not stay on. I tried to get a refund for this product but was unsuccessful...

A fantastic hairdryer for smoothing and straightening frizzy or fuzzy hair. Used with a corresponding smoothing product, it's wonderful on rainy or humid days for styling that lasts. It's light, easy to handle and it's considerably better priced than the Vidal Sassoon model of same design. I'd recommend it hands down.

Don’t waste your money. I’ve been using the blower for a little over 3 weeks, the blower keeps on over heating and shutting off. Even when it is off, some reason it just clicks off :( so disappointmented I wish I would have known this sooner to return this :(

Very disappointed! The combs do not stay attached to the dryer. One of the combs broke at the center on my 2nd use. The 2nd comb have lost several teeth. Both combs become malleable under Hi Heat setting. Better to use the dryer without attachments but it keeps turning off. For this price I expected better quality. Highly disappointed. Don’t waste your time or cash.

I have the bonnet hair dryer by Laila Ali and figured this would be a safe buy...not...it cuts off while in use and gets EXTREMELY hot while in use...had to return mine, maybe you'll have better luck?

I love this hair dryer. I used to have a hair dryer of this style duing my teenage years. Ionic technology was not out back then. I hated using hair dryers because my hair holds heat and I would burn my hand on my hair 30 seconds after I dried it. With this dryer I have no issues like that. I use the medium setting and it does not overheat my hair at all. there is warmth, but not anything overpowering. I also like the cool shot button. I only wish there was a way to press the button down to lock it. I have to physically keep the button pressed down while using the dryer if I want to get cool air. Anyway, this does a very good job of drying my hair without causing heat damage. I also use a heat protectant to make sure I don't damage my hair. it doesn't really straighten the hair other than using the fine tooth comb to pull the hair shaft straight. the fact that this dryer doesn't produce intense heat doesn't allow for straightening at the roots. for that you will need a hot comb or a flat iron. no biggie. This har makes my hair soft and bouncy. I love the purple color too.5/1/2015 update after almost 18 months of light use this dryer just stopped working while half of my hair was still wet. It overheated and needed 5 minutes to reset. My hair is thick, but I have never had this issue before with this dryer. I thinking it's time to get another dryer with more longevity. I have downgraded my review from 5 stars to 3 stars because of this.

No novice here... this blow dryer is awful. The teeth on the combs scratch your scalp, no matter how gentle you are. The blow dryer cuts off when used in high heat for 2-3 minutes. Total waste of money.The only positives are the beautiful color of the dryer and the size of the box because it's big enough to store all the combs and the dryer very neatly.
