The A-Z of Marvel Monsters

No Ditko!
First off, I enjoyed the book: the super crisp, colorful images are extremely attractive. However, I gave it just 4 stars due to the editing. The volume contains five complete monster story reprints, but leaves out any artist other than Kirby. It seems to me obligatory to include a couple of stories by Spidey's creator, Steve Ditko (RIP!). (My personal favorite: "The Anatomy of a Nightmare" from ToS #22 (Oct, 1961)).

Klassic Kirby Monsters!
This compendium harkens to a simpler, more innocent era when a page of comic book art by Jack Kirby was all the special effects you needed. Enjoy these pre-FF #1 Timely/Marvel monsters. A neat, neat book. A+.

Great trip through the monster era
Kirby's phenomenal art and Lee's bombastic scripting make this time in comic history leap off the page. They make monsters fun!
