Inefficient bull in a china shop!
Let me start off by saying this: nothing comes close to this CPU if you want to game on a budget. Period. That's why I love this little gem of a processor, its equivalent to a high end i3/low end i5, yet costs less, and has more cores. It also comes with an unlocked multiplier out of the box and a far beefier stock cooler than the pathetic thing that comes with Intel CPUs. Check out LinusTechTips's video on the coolers to see just how well AMD's cooler compares to the competition. This means that there's no need to buy an after-market cooler on day 1, saving you more money (even more!) This is marketed as a 6 core chip, and as such uses more power than the more efficient Intel CPUs. Most i5s will also perform better with (far) less power consumption. However this chip is like an inefficient bull in a china shop - running at up to 4.2Ghz - more if you try - and when compared to the quad core FX-4XXX series gives a huge jump in FPS in most games. It can run a bit warm, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem, buy a couple of Thermaltake Thunderblade 4 Pin LED Fan 8 cm - Red and you'll be good to go. In conclusion: This is a great CPU for a mid level, price optimized gaming PC. Good features, and a ton of other reviews out there to compare notes, means that this CPU is already well loved by many a gamer and ex console player out there. FYI this chip runs in (and only in) AM3+ motherboards, make sure you get the right one - and works with DDR3 RAM, I recommend at least 8GB for a gaming system. There you go - please mark this as helpful if it was, and happy buying :)

AMD FX-6350 Black Edition CPU.
Well impressed with this CPU. It runs well. Didn't use the stock cooler opted for a duel 120mm fan tower which keeps it nice and cool idles at a nice 10c and around 30c to 35c under load. I was going to get the 8 core but the prices just went to high for my budget and I wanted to get my new build up and running rather than wait until they come down again. It over clocks with ease. I've had it up to 4.5-4.6 and let it run for a few hours gaming and was pleasently surprised to find it was keeping nice and cool. I suppose I could crank it up a bit more but I'm happy as it is. Good value for money.

A Great Budget CPU
The AMD FX-6350 is a great budget CPU. It's more than capable of handling most computing tasks out there and is incredibly modestly priced. The AM3+ socket is on many great, modern motherboards giving you an excellent option and variety in that end too. My only real gripe with this product is the stock fan included with it. It's sufficient for the CPU if you're not planning on overclocking it (Mine never exceeds 50oC on heavy load), but it does get very loud when under heavy load. But seeing as CPU coolers are cheap nowadays, it isn't much of a bother.

Fantastic value for money
Great processor for the money, plenty of room for overclocking if that's what your into. In my system it sits at a cool 8-10 degrees centigrade when idle and hasn't went any higher than 50 degrees Celsius under load. It comes with a heat-sink and fan in the package which is more than adequate for any environment. Although this was used in my first system build I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else interested in building an AMD powered system. I have also successfully overclocked it to 4.5GHz running the stock cooler and stressed tested it. The system is running stable and the highest temperature reached was 63 degrees Celsius.

CPU Good Fan Awful
The CPU works ell enough - quite happy there but the fan has to be the noisiest CPU Fan I've ever installed. Sounds like a petrol-engines model plane - really bad. Intend to replace it with a Hyper 103 at a later date.

OMG what a difference!
Bought this after doing some research, and glad I did! Teamed up with 16gb of ripjaws 1833mhz with my gtx 770 4GB jetstream card. On a gigabyte motherboard and it will do what ever I ask of it, titanfall maxed out, BF4 maxed out, ride maxed out. 20 Internet windows opened and word processing, not a problem! 12 sec boot with ssd, a little more expensive than the fx 6300 but you get the factory over lock that runs stable and a larger cache. Buy it. Mine is water cooled so can't comment on the stock cooler. I get idle temps of 5°c and load of 30-38°c

Great purchase
I bought this to replace my old Phenom II X4. This CPU has various new technologies inside and for the power consumption is much more productive. In my system the increase of performance is tremendous. Due to advanced memory controller the memory benchmarks improved as well. I wanted to have modern CPU for reasonable price and was choosing between FX 83XX and FX6350. Looking at cpuboss comparisons and prices finally decided to have this one. As always compared to similar products of Intel this is excellent deal.

Great for overclocking!
Like many here I upgraded my system for a better game playing experience. System specs: Asus M5A99X EVO R.2 motherboard MSI R9 270 Video Card 4x 4GB 1600mhz Ram Sandisk SSD The FX-6350 overclocks very well. I can go up to 4.35 GHz with default voltage. After that the cpu needs more voltage to be stable. I have had it up to 4.5 and am sure I can go more but heat starts to be an issue. Even with the fantastic Lepa AquaChanger 120 liquid cooling the fans will be howling at some point. I find the sweet spot is 4.4 GHz with a cpu voltage of 1.3125. Turn off all the power saving stuff like "cool and quiet" for best stutter free playing. There are plenty of articles out there to read if one wishes to overclock. You will need a better cpu cooler. I never even bothered to use the supplied cooler and used a EVO 212 at first. When using Prime95 my temp thermal margin gets down to around 16 C @4.4 GHz (if you don't understand "thermal margin" look it up). Overall core temps can get up to mid 50's C. This is with keeping my fan speeds down and quieter. There is a trade off for speed and quiet, I don't want to sit next to a wind tunnel! I am currently playing Fallout 4 with great results. It will play on Ultra fine but sometimes bogs down when the ghouls attack en mass, but playing on High works perfect. This game will test your machines metal to be sure, it's a beast of a game and needs a beast of a computer to run it. I find this product to be a great value and recommend it!

Age of Empires III, Portal 2, Dead Space und Assasin's Creed I zeigt die CPU keinerlei Schwächen.
