Just a great mechanical pencil overall
I bought this pencil after using the Silver Series Staedtler for a few years, I figured I'd get one in a different color. I assumed it would be exactly the same as the other one, but it was surprisingly not. This one is a little bit smaller, lighter, and is made out of plastic. It took me a while to get used to it after I had been using the other one for years.I like the size of this one, it fits perfectly in a shirt pocket. Even though it is 0.5mm, the led doesn't break as easy as one might imagine. I've had it for a few weeks now and the led has never broken. In addition to the great size and weight, it appears durable as well. I've dropped it several times in the few weeks that I've been using it, it has not cracked or broken, it looks new.I'm hoping this one lasts me for several years and the moment something goes wrong with it, I am coming back to buy another one.

Love this pencil!
I am a picky pencil user, and this one makes the grade. It's comfortable in my hands (I have relatively small hands), the lead-grabbing mechanism is reliable. The pencil is sleek and professional looking. My only complaint is that the eraser to small and hard to access - I just had a separate rubber eraser handy that I use instead. Wish I could find them in the store, but there were not any to be had at my local Staples or the local stationary store.

Fantastic Mechanical Pencil
I have only had this mechanical pencil for a week but I now know what all my engineering buddies talk about. It is much more comfortable than a standard mechanical pencil. I can also apply the pressure I am used to without worrying that I might break the tip. I have already gotten many compliments on it and will buy another when I get a little more coin. Hopefully it last the next 2 years of college.

A good pencil, but not the Integrity
The weight and thickness are decent. It's relatively comfortable to hold. It has lasted several months of regular use. Overall, this is a good mechanical pencil. The cons: The eraser is a bit pathetic, and it's also annoying to get to more of it. Be careful, lest you puncture your skin. For some reason that I haven't been able to discern, there's a sharp metal pin attached to the eraser on the (usually) concealed side.Overall, this is one of the better mechanical pencils on the market, but it doesn't hold a torch to the apparently discontinued Staedtler Integrity 9505 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZUGYQE/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), which is, hands down, the best mechanical pencil I've ever used. The pencil I'm currently reviewing is probably the best substitute I've found, but mechanical pencils can definitely be better than this.

Three Stars
Nice but get the silver series

Light workhorse of a pencil that protects its lead.
This little plastic mechanical pencil delivers the goods. It is not pretentious, it is not a sexy metallic tool, nor is it shiny. It does look quite generic, but guess what? It does not break the lead. And to me, that is a HUGE deal because it gives the product reliability. And ultimately, you want your tools to be functional above all else. If you don't care, go use a sharpennable (my lexical contribution perhaps) #2. This is a good little and light workhorse. Highly recommended for functionality.

the rub part to hold them is really great it dosen't come off
greate pice of machinery, i've used some other marks and i really really sugest not buying cheap mechanical pencils, the price for this ones are not that high and they really feel confortable in the hand, they are not to thick nor thin, the rub part to hold them is really great it dosen't come off, the pushing lead mechanism is really strong i've suffered from some accident with this pencils and they haven't give me any problem with the mechanic parts. The pencil has a little mark you can roll to clarify the type of leads you are using like HB or F or anything like that.

The pencil in the images is NOT the one you will receive
I already own Staedtler 925 05 drafting pencil. The pencil shown in the images - and the part number shown in the specification - reflect the genuine Staedtler 925 05.I have however received a flimsy 925 15 05 which is presumably a cost-reduced version of the original (complete with plastic clip) which does not come close to the quality of the original.
