The tape isn't too thick but if you write on it with a sharpee, it doesn't bleed through. The adhesive isn't the best but should be good enough for your normal labeling purposes or for easy peel off such as taping edges for painting, etc.

I got this to add to my painting (canvas) toolbox. I tape off the edges of the canvas before beginning to protect the sharp edges and this tape works for that exactly the way I would expect masking tape to perform.

I've tried a few different tapes for watercolor and this is the best I've found on Amazon at the best price. (A distant second place is the expensive lavender tape from Scotch).I go through a roll of tape every few weeks so I was happy to find this at a reasonable price. I put this to the test for about 40 hours before reviewing.This tape anchors the page, is easy to reposition, and removes cleanly as long as I go slowly. It is transparent enough that I can see the edge of the page and line my borders up perfectly, can't do that with the scotch painter tapes. I can paint right over it with no bleed through and it leaves a nice crisp border. Even thick gouache doesn't get through this tape.I've even been able to reuse tape on drawings and pen and ink! It's nice to not have to instantly throw it away. It is low tack that holds well and lasts for a second round.One thing to note: be sure to remove slowly and carefully at a right angle to the page. . It is tape and it is still possible to rip paper with this stuff.This tape is a great find!

This tape is great for framing my paintings. It comes off of the roll easily and doesn't get stuck to my fingers. Even better, it comes off of my paintings, canvas or paper, without damage of I need to reposition it. Very pleased with this purchase.

Works great for freezer paper wrapping.

This is a stickier painter's tape. I'm not sure how well it will do on walls, but this isn't the tape for my arts and crafts. I sacrificed an old book to learn how to paint edges and figured I might as well experiment if it'll rip up the cover.It was on the book for about 3 hours and did end up ripping the cover. I can avoid this for other books, so it isn't a huge deal.It absolutely protected the binding and cover from paint, though.It's tape and it seems to do the job. It'll get used and I think the price is pretty good!

Added a couple pics showing a black permanent marker used on this tape and similar 3M...know it isn't a perfect test - but you can see neither bled thru to the paper. 📷We used this tape for a couple different projects and did some various comparisons with a the same 3M brand name roll from the pics and this held up just fine. Actually find that we like the texture (it is a little more pronounced) better than the 3M.Other than that - adhesive, tearing, and removing all performed in equal fashion...think this is pretty sweet find 🙂
