I really like this smell of this detergent and you're also showing your support to military veterans! I've been using this detergent for over a year and I did notice that it was reformulated (darker green now), but it still is pretty close to the original smell if you were to buy it at a Target (for example). The scent is described by Hero as juniper-based. I would say it does have a "green" smell (think grass, juniper, etc) mixed with a sporty Calvin Klein cologne. Man, I'm horrible at describing scents right? Think sports. If you're cleaning these types of clothes, then you'd like this type of smell since it eliminates odors and has a fresh scent that isn't floral. I would definitely say it's targeted for guys. In terms of performance, I think it works just as good as any other name brand detergent. I still use pre-wash stain fighters so I'm not sure if there are any performance benefits against stain fighting. It does cut through odors though, so I count that as a benefit! It's a bit expensive, but you like what you like!

Love this product. First bought in on a fishing trip. Cleans all the clothes after fishing and crabbing with no smells at all. Continue to use it.

So I use this for my work clothes as I dont trust Cintas to clean them and not be harsh . This gets oil and other assorted fluids off and makes them look clean. Wish they would have a bit more perfume but clean is clean. And would love to have a fabric softener from this brand if they many one that would be great

First foray into the "premium laundry detergent" segment. Not impressed. As far as cleaning power, it is good, on par with other name brands, and the scent is pleasant, but at this price point, you need to blow me away, not be about average. Pretty sure this is some variation Gain put in another bottle.

10 out of 10 recommend this product! First off I work as an EMT and use this on my work clothes. The smell is amazing and long lasting. It does as it says and fights the tough stains out. Also can notice how soft my clothes feel and it leaves them looking clean and bright! Definitely found a returning customer and have made recommendations to my coworkers. Made in America and supports veterans, what's not to love??

I have mixed feelings about this product. It arrived leaking. Leaked all over the cardboard and I probably lost 1/6 of my detergent in shipping. The second thing I noticed is that in its concentrated form it kinda has a sharp smell that almost stings the nostrils. I'm hesitant to say like theres a good amount of ammonia in it. No matter, I keep it in the laundry room and it's not very strong. It doesn't seem to clean my clothes as well as the soap I have been using (pyrex) but it does clean pretty well. My first batch I had one shirt come out with a couple grease spots that weren't there before but other than that I haven't had any other problems. After washing still has that sharp ammonia-like smell, but as I don't wear all my clothes immediately after they're washed I found that over the next couple days it went away to reveal a nice smell that's pretty fresh and manly. Overall I was a little disappointed. But it works and doesn't smell bad so I will probably continue to use it. I DO like that the company tries to help out our vets as much as they can.

THE PRODUCT ITSELF IS VERY GOOD. IF THERE WAS A RATING FOR THE SHIPPING/PACKAGING I WOULD NOT GIVE ANY STARS. ITS NOT THE PRODUCT MANUFACTURERS FAULT THAT THE TOPS ARE NOT COMPLETELY CLOSED AND SEALED OR JUST THROWN INTO A PLASTIC BAG AND SENT. HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE & QUALITY CONTROL. ANY LIQUID WHETHER IN GLASS OR PLASTIC HAS TO BE CHECKED THOROUGHLY AND PACKAGED FOR DELIVERY TO MAKE SURE THE CONTENTS DONT SPILL..

Awesome smell. I don’t wear cologne so this is a manly scent. Cleans my dirty work clothes. The only detergent that gets out the smell of jet fuel from my clothes. I have the hand/dish soap as well. Awesome stuff. Will keep purchasing this for a long time. Proceeds go to veterans too so that’s a plus in my book.
