The exercises are fun and practical and she enjoys doing them whilst learning ...
I got this maths book to help an 8 year old girl with her school work. The exercises are fun and practical and she enjoys doing them whilst learning at the same time. I would recommend this book to others

Kids loved it but...
This was really good, but once the kids finished the puzzles, that was it! So the book was finished within an hour and apparently you can't continue on with a different route... Great book though, just a shame there seems to be only one route to follow.

Maths Quest series
This is one of a series of puzzle books for young readers which may be little-known but excellent. Children have to answer a series of mathematical questions which lead them to different pages in the book on a trail to solve a major puzzle. It kept our 7 year old grandson enthralled for several hours.

Reusability is Almost Zilch
David Glover has a very clever idea with the ongoing goal of making learning fun. True learning and retention involves bombarding the brain with multiple inputs. This book involves nice eye candy with the pictures, and then reading to introduce and/or reinforce some basic concepts. Where it misses the mark its reusabilty is almost zilch.
