Swordfish 1500XCD 15 Sheet Cross Cut Paper/Document Shredder ref: 45011, Black

This is a great shredder. Very reliable, easy to use and robust over the long term. Practical as it will take up to 15 sheets of paper at a time, reducing the time it takes to shred lots of documents. Also can be used to quickly shred a few documents to prevent them building up. Thoroughly reeomended.

I've been using this shredder for a couple of years without any problems. The cross cut reduces documents to small 2 centimetre pieces ensuring that the waste is secure. This also means you don't have to empty the bin as frequently since the waste paper is more compact. The unit handles 15 pages comfortably - though I suspect from the slower feed rate much more than this would cause a jam. I have also shredded credit cards and CDs without difficulty - though only one at a time.If you're buying a shredder I would also recommend purchasing oil for the blades as not oiling shredders shortens their life considerably.Update:Just to add that in April 2014 this shredder is still working reliably. No complaints.

good shredder but not as good as last Swordfish which was smaller. Quite noisy, bit grating even when new and after oil sheets and the bucket though big can be awkward to get back in 100% straight so you have to fiddle a bit.

I bought this shredder about a year ago, and although it has been reliable, it does not live up to the claims. The most I can manage to shred is 7 or 8 sheets of 80 gsm at a time. However, this is my only gripe with it. One thing though, remember to oil it regularly, I use Swordfish oiling sachets for convenience.

The shredder arrived well packed in time. It Is for home use only any not for many papers at a time. I find it a quite machine.

Had this in the office where I work for 5 years and it's been amazing, it recently broke so we obviously had to buy another because it's perfect for a small office. Highly recommended for durability and reliability.

I bought this shredder about 18 months ago for modest office use, shredding about 50 A4 sheets a week on average. The retailer said the cutter had a lifetime guarantee and continues to advertise it as such. About 6 months ago it began to shred unevenly and when inspected several of the plastic teeth in the cutter unit had sheared off. Now it is barely able to deal with one sheet of paper. The supplier didn't want to know and said that the warranty covered only the metal parts, not the plastic. The fact they they are integral is overlooked! Swordfish themselves are very difficult to contact. I would have liked to price a new shredder unit but just can't get a handle on that. It worked quite happily initially although could never cope with 10 sheets of A4 (thin) as advertised. Problem: What to do next as I have to be able to shred sensitive documents.

Bought this cross shredder as a replacement for my previous one which was constantly seizing up. This shredder appears strong and unlike the previous model we keep it well lubricated. I noted that this is a stable machine and indeed it is. It doesn't need constant moving around in order to keep it level as my previous one did. All in all I would recommend this shredder.

Ein Supergerät. 15 Blatt richtig gut und flüsterleise Schreddern. Einzig und allein dass es ein Gerät mit Amerikanischen Steckern ausgeliefert wird und einen Adapter Bedarf ist schade. Dies war für uns erst auch ein Schock, aber missen möchten wir Ihn nicht mehr.
