Noshir Sanjanas, brillantly penned Novel,"Flying high"A Parsi life of Gratitude"....which was Amazingly and painskatingly typed on his SamsungGalaxy A 71 mobile,during the Corona pandemic lockdown,wherein most of the world,whilled away their time whining about lifes uncertainity &hardships,....his having penned this book which is a journey of his life well lived, LOVED AND LEARNED.....Is an INSPIRATION in itself. Noshir,shines with his descriptive and exquisite narrative style. The vocabulary is simple,uncomplicated and an easy fun and flowing read. His early on life experiences at the tender and impressionable age of 5,where he proudly descibes his idyllic carefree life ....from theearly 1940's ,then through the 2 nd world war and right upto the India Pakistan partition,where he was a mere child of 6... having witnessed his hometown Shimla burn ,looted and reduced to ashes,sights he has descibed whilst escaping,no child should ever have witnessed,his prized possession of his blue toy cupboard going up in flames,his fear thru it all,yet his stoic belief in his fiercely spirited and brave parents protecting him and his siblings brings tears to the readers eyes..The reader is drawn ,into the depth of Noshirs anguish,...Yet somehow through all his childhood trauma,he shows the reader....a lesson to be learned...Thru lifes toughest path,With faith and belief...You can come out unscathed,and give back to the world gratitude,humility and kindness to all. ALL the incidents in this book are his own,and totally absorbing,yet soo well described ,soo real ,that the reader is taken on a compelling journey to experience it all as if he/she were part of his experiences....some poignant ,some dangerous,some fun,some thrilling,some humourous,....Though,this is NOSHIR SANJANAS first Novel,it reads like the work of an author who has published many books,over many years.Definetly a worthy read,totally enjoyed reading it,mainly because I felt it provided,some kind of road map to one having lived a FULL AND MEANINGFUL LIFE...Beautifully penned,and has surpassed my high expectations...nothing at all like I expected....he has managed to KNOW and write the right word for the RIGHT MOMENT.....looking forward to your next book.....Cheers...37 stories that I could read 37 times over....yet leave me wanting MORE.

Nice book of true life stories. Quite gripping. Some funny, some thrilling and shocking.“An ode to my friend Vivek Ajinkya” was sad and touched one’s heart.“My pledge to the Almighty” was a tale of true grit and resolve and faith.After reading “Sher ka Puttar,” I did not know whether Rajoo was serious or did not understand the joke!!Overall, a good book of a good man.I wish photos of his dear daughters were included in his book. May be in the next edition. Best wishes.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Noshir's simple and lucid style is commendable. His short anecdotes are enjoyable. What I also liked about the book is that the chapters are short, the print is just the right size for reading and I liked the lovely font of the chapter headings.Noshir, I enjoyed reading your book - you definitely have it in you!

I have loved this cousin of mine i have called uncle for the last 50 years. His personality is hard to resist and not fall utterly in love with.The fluidity with which he has written this book really has me in awe. I learnt a great deal about his life his loves his ups and downs and what makes him his own unique self.This book makes a wonderful read for anyone and everyone and i can’t wait till i am able to travel to have him autograph the book for me personally ❤️If there is one thing you want to learn from this book just read the preface above!
