I struggled trying to get a nice look. Finally I got it right. Painting them black then going over the raised areas with metallic paint in a dry brush technique works nice. Spray with glossy clear sealer.

I couldn't find a small pot that fit my daughter's decor but these pots made it easy to paint them in the color scheme that matched her kitchen. The details can be tricky to paint smoothy, so if you don't have a steady hand for the raised areas you may want to paint them a solid color and the sponge on the raised areas with a small sponge painter or a wood roller with a contrasting color or metallic paint.Because these are only bisque fired, they may not be waterproof. If you paint them with acrylic paints you will need to seal the pots with a clear glaze.
