Good humanistic break from internet searches about infertility, but not overly scientific
This book was very quick to read and it certainly fills a void in the market because there are almost no first person perspectives of the infertility treatment process in print format. If you're tired of searching internet forums to learn about what to expect with your infertility journey, then this book is a good break that provides a simple perspective from a husband and wife via alternating chapters in chronological order. However, this isn't a book if you're looking for very detailed medical explanations

Highly recommended!
I enjoyed reading this book because it was at times irreverent, touching, funny, and poignant. The his and hers viewpoints is a novel idea that really gets into the heads of both authors, offering dual perspectives but from different emotional places. Although they offer some interesting science about infertility, the facts are interwoven into the story itself. I personally gained quite a bit of insight into how prevalent the issue is but mostly how it affects individuals as well as couples. An entertaining and easy read-- highly recommended!

...vulnerability about the arduous journey to make a baby is delivered in a brilliantly funny but a punch in the gut way.
Great having both perspectives, I think this is especially a great resource for men on the infertility journey. Michelle and Chris's vulnerability about the arduous journey to make a baby is delivered in a brilliantly funny but a punch in the gut way. I like how easy the book read and enjoyed jumping between both perspectives. I definitely recommend this to couples going through the infertility journey no matter where you are in it.

I found this book funny, charming and endearing
I found this book funny, charming and endearing. Anyone who is going through fertility treatments should read this. As someone who is,this is a very motivating structural guide. It seems like anything you read only has the process of the woman. I do respect that but I'm glad this book sheds light on the male side because I wasn't sure how to deal with it.

Comforting...
This book helped me feel "normal" in such an "abnormal" circumstance. Good for comfort and nice to hear the guys perspective if you have a tight lipped hubby like I do. Well written.

Excellent read!
Excellent read! A love story with good information for any couple considering In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)Funny and touching tale of one couple's travels on their road to IVF, as told separately from the wife's and husband's point of view.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed Michelle & Chris Miller’s
I tend to be critical of show segments, articles and books written about infertility, having gone through almost every single aspect of diagnosis and treatment myself. That said, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed Michelle & Chris Miller’s, Where Have All the Storks Gone, A His and Hers Guide to Infertility. The book is a candid, factually accurate, humorous and loving portrayal of the couple’s attempts to have a baby, struggles month after to month to conceive, eventual tests and procedures which led to a diagnosis of infertility, and their many treatment attempts from IUI to IVF.It is written in a back and forth style, from the perspective of both husband and wife, each and every step of the way. I found this to be particularly refreshing as we don’t always hear the husband’s (or significant others) point of view simultaneously with the woman going through it. Their style of writing is conversational, with his being more direct and to the point and hers often providing a more in-depth look at what she and they are experiencing. What comes through is their love for each other, their desire to start a family, their commitment to supporting each other as they navigate each step in the labyrinth that is an infertility diagnosis, and the hope that they come out the other side as parents. Not only is this their personal account, but it also serves and an Infertility 101 Primer, for those just starting out or for the loved ones of those struggling with infertility who want to better understand the process. Each test or procedure is accurately defined and there is a glossary of terms at the back of the book which is useful.Their story does not gloss over the emotional toll that trying to become pregnant month after month takes, nor does it wallow in self-pity. They persevere in the face of snow white HPTs, high FSH results, a fibroid sighting (and need for surgical removal), having no embryos to freeze following their first transfer, dropping hCG levels after a promising start, a miscarriage, and finding themselves back at square one.I will not spoil the outcome of their journey here. I highly recommend the book to anyone having trouble conceiving, or who has been diagnosed with infertility and is starting down their path of treatment, or to their family, friends and loved ones to get a better understanding of what the rigors of treatment mean to and for a couple. It is a quick and easy read packed full of insight, warmth, humor, and love.

A friend, knowing my struggle with infertility, gifted ...
A friend, knowing my struggle with infertility, gifted me with this book. Although it is over 300 pages, I couldn't put it down and finished it cover to cover within 48 hours. It was truly a touching book and I what I needed to read, especially the weekend after having a procedure done to hopefully help our chances with having a baby. Not only was the book very informative (Michelle and Chris seemed to run the whole gauntlet of fertility treatment), they also held nothing back, making it incredibly relatable for anyone else going through this mess. I caught myself both laughing (yes, infertility treatment can be embarrassingly hilarious) and crying throughout the book. In the end, the book made me feel a little less alone in this process, but also gave me hope that it is all worth it. If you are dealing with infertility or know somebody that is, then this is a MUST read.
