Darcy Bussell, 'DDMIX (Diverse Dance Mix) is a dance fitness programme , with its own bespoke music. It is a diverse mix of ‘flavours’ of dance styles, formed into a dance workout starting with a warm-up leading to a selection of routines through to the warm-down, using every part of the body. The aim is to have fun whilst burning calories, stretching and strengthening the body and stimulating the mind with the mix of dance styles. DDMIX celebrates diversity, embracing the widest variety of dance styles and eras. Each genre is 2.5 minutes long, is broken down into simple steps and is individually choreographed. You need no dance experience to get the basic steps easily, but as the programme has lots of variety and some difficult elements, you won’t ever get bored. I hope you enjoy it! This programme includes ★ 1 x Warm-up routine ★ 14 x Dance routines ★ 1 x Cool down routine Extra: Meet Nathan and Justin Review: brilliant, fun workout! - I ordered this as I want to keep fit indoors when the weather is awful. It is fantastic! Darcey explains each of the steps clearly, then you have a go. As each dance is only 2 and a half minutes, although the moves are energetic and it is tiring, you get a chance to rest. I like the fact that each dance is listed separately, as I like to do half an hour, so can pick where I start. The whole thing is 74 minutes (including intro). You can also choose whether to have the version with dance steps explained, or not. At them moment I am using it with instruction, but once I have learned the steps it means you don't have to go through that each time. There are such a lot of fun moves, and Darcey is enthusiastic and charming. I found it a lot more enjoyable than a lot of the more serious exercise DVDs that I have. The only single thing I didn't like is that in the very first bit of the warm up the dancers bend so low down the ground I thought 'If I do that I will never get up again!' The rest of the DVD does not expect such feats! Very good value and well worth buying. Review: and who better to do this than Darcy - I really am enjoying this DVD. Having been a Davina devotee for years, I thought I would order this for something completely different. It is split into short dance routines of different styles, and who better to do this than Darcy! As it is dance you need to do moves with feet and arms, so a fair bit of coordination is required, having done it through 3 times I have a long way to go on some of sections, and so am just concentrating on the steps if I get a bit lost! To do it like the professionals, yes you have to be fit to keep up, and certainly the little intonations on hands and feet really show how great dancers differ to the rest of us! It cleverly gives you 2 options to either play through with a quick run through of the steps, a must at first, or just to play through without instruction once you are more familiar. There are a few different levels within each routine, but because they are short then I can understand why complete beginners are feeling this is not for them, as it does speed up quite quickly. I think the point is though that as long as you keep moving you will gradually see improvements with your fitness and ability. Darcy has been doing this for years so we cannot expect to be as proficient after only a few run throughs, and if your expectations are not too high, I don't think it will disappoint. I did find that a few steps were a bit hard with trainers on carpet, due to friction, but that may be because I am just being a bit careful not twisting to much on my knees in my fifties!! I would have liked the routines to be a little longer, as you just get to grips with the steps and then it is finished. It certainly gets your heart rate up and your step count! I think that this would also be a great DVD to do with small grandchildren, a great way for them to understand different dances from various countries and also get everyone moving, or older children who are interested in dance, as the basic steps will come into most choreography, and who better to learn from than Darcy Bussell.

like you have to watch the introduction each time
No problems with the supplier, the DVD arrived quickly & well packaged. The DVD itself could be a lot more user friendly, it's a faff to skip different sections, like you have to watch the introduction each time. If you select to watch without breakdown ( ie explanations) you don't know which dance you are doing. Other options mean that you have to stop & select each time, after each 3 or 4 minute routine. I like the different dances as it makes exercising less boring, & it's not too strenuous, you can put more or less effort in depending on your capabilities or energy levels.

Easy to follow and fun
I got this DVD as I love dancing and want to increase my fitness so it ticked all the boxes. It is easy to follow with each dance routine about five or six minutes long so you don’t get bored and though I may not be joining strictly just yet I am enjoying the DVD and found muscles I forgot I had 😊 it is good for beginners and offers a challenge for the fitter person. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who wants to get fit and learn to dance.

A feel-good workout!
What great fun I’ve just had! There’s something about dancing that just makes you feel good and this DVD certainly gave me a feel-good workout. I’ve been a wannabe Irish dancer for many years so really enjoyed that particular dance but all of the dances are great fun. I have done dance before so didn’t find the steps too hard to pick up. My advice is, if you are finding the steps hard, don’t give up - keep practising each one and you will pick it up. Even dancers have to practice!

Great dvd loving it.
This dance dvd is great. Instructions are excellent. The dances are tricky at first but go at your own pace and you will get there. It’s an hour long but because it’s enjoyable the time goes quick. Lots of different styles to do and each last about three minutes. I will be recommending this to friends think that says it all. If you like dancing you will love this.

Once past excitement over different dance styles its very boring.
I bought this DvD because it seemed exiting and fresh, I love dancing and Darcy Bussell so all in all I thought I was guaranteed to love this DVD.-what could possibly be wrong with it? Sadly I admit I was very disappointed. Officially one of the worst fitness DVDs I've ever bought. The music is uninteresting and boring- sounds practically the same throughout just with the odd tweak to fit the style, not at all motivating. Its very difficult to be bothered to do these workouts as they're in tiny short bursts, your recommended in the intro to do it for an hour if you want a full workout but frankly its hard to be bothered. I personally can't do an hour of this a day I don't have the time or will power. The dancing in some of the 'genres' is quite difficult which i liked because it means your learning and its a challenge but its not as simple as lets just follow the dvd and hope you get it by the end, you must do the breakdown version at least 2 times wile repeating certain sections. I feel the whole DVD was uninteresting and a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners or those trying to loose weight, there are other better dance DVDs out there. Its just not worth the money.

Not viewable on US video equipment
I guess "my bad" purchase ... Not watchable on US video equipment. Nothing against Darcy! I'm sure it's great. (I really want to see this, so I'm going to try to get something that will read it)
