The media could not be loaded.  The product works as advertised. It can be used as a regular flashlight from the top by holding the handle on the side or as a lantern. You can adjust the amount of light being emitted from the lantern by collapsing or extending the light. It has the red lights on top that can be used as an alert for others. This is potentially handy in am emergency situation along the road to alert traffic of your presence if your vehicle is broke down on the side. One of the red warning light modes flashes S-O-S in morse code if your signaling for help (not sure how many people would realize what the flashing means, but it's handy anyhow.The lantern comes with a 24 month warranty. In addition, they provide an email address and if anything fails to work, they state they'll replace the item AND refund the product the is defective which I believe to be extremely generous.The only suggestion I would have for future improvements would be to place a rubber gasket at the base of the battery cover to prevent moisture from gaining access to the battery compartment. It states that the lantern is water resistant can be used in the rain, but isn't waterproof and should not be submerged. I did noticed the additional space they created inside the battery cap that would keep distance between any water and the batteries for a short period of time.This lantern would be a great addition to any family camping trip, in addition to it's utility as for a safety resource in a vehicle or boat. It's an inexpensive and an effective lighting source that has a generous warranty and support behind it.

I ordered the AKMONA Camp lights for use mainly in a dark storage area where there is no electricity. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the low price of this product. The lights arrived very quickly, in just a few days. When I opened them I was pleasantly surprised. The weight of each light was substantial, but not too heavy. (Not flimsy as plastic housings could be.). I inserted the batteries (3 AA) which I was pleasantly surprised were included. Battery compartment very easy to access yet the threads were tight to protect from moisture.I fired up the light and WOW!!!!~~~~the main lantern was so bright. I literally had to close my eyes as it was so bright it hurt my eyes. The light turns on by pulling apart the light in the middle. I could reduce the brightness by closing the light barrel, to reach desired brightness. They will be awesome and more than adequate for work in our storage area. The additional red flashing safety lights were very bright and would be useful in case of an emergency on the road. One of the lights will definitely go in my car.There also is a very bright single flashlight on the top which would be really useful. On-off button is solid. Other feature is a magnetic base to attach to metal surfaces. Magnet strength seems adequate, but not super strong. All in all, I am really happy with this product which is much brighter than similar camping lights that we purchased at Costco. I’m considering additional purchases as gifts for family and friends.

Wow! Glad I bought these! Bought in 2021, made sure they worked, put batteries in one, put three others in storage. Fastrack to Feb 2023 South-east Michigan Ice storm, lost power 2.5 days these lamps were great!

FOUR of these useful little buddies and the batteries are actually included. I've used several of these style lanterns over the years. They are super handy for camping or when a project takes a little more time than you expected and the sun goes down. The light is a clear white. I feel like I've used some other brands that almost cast a hazy white glow.Features I like the most: The pullup design that keeps the lens protected when not in use and automatically turns on when you pull it open. This also let's you adjust the brightness by opening it more or less. The magnetic base is great! Super helpful when working on a car or for placement options.It also has a separate button for a dimmer flashlight and red strobe modes. I don't suspect I'll use those, but it's great to have in case you break down on the side of the road.With 4 of these, I put one in each car, one in my shed (which doesn't have power to it), and one with the camping gear.They are lightweight plastic, but seem made well enough. Fit and finish of the parts is good. I wouldn't expect these to survive a tumble down a stairwell, but that would go for any plastic lantern. As a comparison, I just bought a 6pack of the cheap solar walkway lights at home depot for the same price. These lanterns are made MUCH better than those.

The media could not be loaded.  These are awesome little lanterns. You get 4 in the box and they are a little larger than a soda can. You can use them as a flashlight or a lantern. They need 3 AA batteries to run and they come with batteries.Magnet: the magnetic is very strong and easily supports the lantern. I stuck it on the side of my fridge and it didn’t side or move.Flashlight: it’s night and bright. My husband used it to take the dog out last night and he could see her just fine as she ran around the yard. It’s comparable to a $15-$20 flashlight.Lantern: oh man. This thing might be TOO bright! Last night we opened the lantern in the living room when all of the lights were off and I thought it would blind me! It’s crazy bright. It would work indoors or out.Overall these are a great buy. I got them to keep in the house when the power goes out so we don’t have to use candles. My husband isn’t an outdoors guy so we don’t camp but these would be great for that too. They are super lightweight, they feel durable, and they put off an amazing amount of light. If they don’t old up over the long haul I’ll update this review but as of now I’m super pleased with them.

Hung one up in the back of my pickup canopy. I forgot it was there and did lots of driving on rough and curvy roads. The light was swinging and bouncing off of the canopy ceiling all day.Takes a licking and keeps on ticking..
