Ember Spill-Proof Sliding Lid for Mug 2 295ml, Cup and Tumbler

I absolutely love my Ember Mug but I always found the battery life to be somewhat lacking. A friend suggested I get the sliding lid for it to increase my battery life. He was 100% right because adding this sliding splash-proof lid literally doubles the battery life of the ember mug. Its amazing! Since getting the lid I get a lot more use out of my mug and have even brought it in the car as the lid stops any spills. The sliding mechanism feels smooth and secure and its super easy to open with one hand, and it creates a good seal when closed, keeping the heat locked in. If you have an ember mug I feel this is a must have.

This is expensive for a lid. In hand, it is actually quite solid and well made and has little colour changing sliders if you have more than one ember mug! The best thing is that, for me, it perfectly fixes the horrible coffee milk-skin problem that really put me off using the ember mug very often. The lid keeps the coffee hotter, for longer and even after two hours, there was no horrible milk skin! So I think it was worth the money just for that.

Not only does it avoid spills but it keeps your drink warmer for even longer

This is going to sound ridiculous, but this is an absolute game changer. If you drink tea with milk this is an absolute must have in my opinion and should be included with the cup when you buy it. Not only will this massively extend the battery life but it also stops the scum from forming on top of milky tea which completely changes the taste. With this lid on, every sip of my tea tastes like a fresh cup, whereas before it started to have a funny taste after not very long.

This lid does the job but it's very expensive, like all Ember products, which are pretty unreliable in my experience.

Just a lid, obviously. Works nicely. Not entirely leak proof, since it includes a little breather hole, but good enough for me. Note this is for the smaller of the Ember mugs. There are various different sizes! So check it. Works nicely, only criticism really is I think it is a little expensive… well more to the point… I think they should have given me one free with my actual ember mug! Recommended.

Amazing fit and quality, price is high

I love my Ember mug, but I always felt like the heat escaped too quickly from the top. This sliding lid is the perfect fix. It fits both my 10 oz Gen 1 and Gen 2 mugs perfectly. Pros: Better Battery Life: Since the lid keeps the heat in, the mug's heating element doesn't have to work nearly as hard. I’ve noticed my battery lasts about 20-30% longer now. Splash-Proof: It’s great for walking around the house or office. It won't survive being turned upside down, but it stops the "slosh" perfectly. Easy to Clean: The slider pops off easily so you can clean underneath it—no hidden mold issues. Cons: It’s a bit pricey for a lid, but for the convenience, it’s worth it.

Awesome product. Definitely get this if you have a Ember mug. The battery in the mug lasts a lot longer when you use the lid. And you don't get that layer that forms on the top of the coffee if you use cream or milk in yr coffee. The lid should be included when you buy the mug. Highly recommended.
