It is easy to use. Place it on a level surface, add rubbing alcohol, use a long lighter to ignite the alcohol. Instant ambiance. you can make smores in the house!!!! don't try to move it after you light it, or shortly after the flame goes out, it can heat up. It has a flame, and you need to respect the flame, do not let children use it, do not leave it unattended while the flame is lit. Safety first!

This thing is great. We have a fireplace but rarely use it because of the hassle and mess of keeping wood ready and starting fires. I set this little guy in the fireplace without even opening the flue and voila. Heat, flame, the heat even releases the smell of the fireplace which is pleasant like a wood fire. The whole room is filled with that beautiful orange glow we all love. Now we have a fire all the time and we can have fire even when we don't have 4 hours to make use of the fuel. Just snuff it out when we're done. I figure it costs under $0.50 per hour.

Not really one to write reviews, but feel like i should as a warning. Fire pit arrived undamaged, and directions are as easy as it gets. Set it on kitchen table and lit. 5 minutes later there was a large *POP* and a crack appeared from the edge of the fuel cup to about 2 inches down the side. Immediately extinguished the flame and waited for it to cool to dispose of remaining alcohol. After cooling, the crack pretty much disappeared, but I know it's still there. If this product were to break in a way that the fuel cup spills, it could be disastrous. Alcohol fires are no joke. Was really excited to get this, and had plenty of options to choose from. Highly disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. This tabletop fireplace gives a warm, inviting ambiance to our dining. The flame is bigger and brighter than expected. The bottom stays cool; sides do get hot and it throws some heat … it works, though, to cozy up around. Easy to extinguish and clean. Amazing that it burns odor-free, and on simple 70% rubbing alcohol. It burns about 40 minutes on one filling. Gave one to all my friends. Definitely recommend.
