Pedometer | YAMAX Power-Walker EX510 | 3D Accelerometer and Activity Monitor | Wear Almost Anywhere

Got this purely to reliably count daily steps, rather than some of the other data that this device can also provide. One of the reasons why I chose this particular make/model was because it doesn't need to be clipped/mounted e.g. on a belt (even though a belt mount and lanyard chord are provided). The need to do this on my previous pedometer had been (for me) a drawback. I use the EX510 just popped in my trouser front pocket, and it works/counts fine. Step count accuracy when normal walking (whether doing 10 miles or just pushing a lawn mower) appears to be very good. The only area it seems to under count a little is where steps/foot movements are poorly defined e.g. hoovering or cooking. Though I assume all pedometers that are not over-sensitive will be the same. It has the added benefit of letting you look back over several days separately to see what you've done if you'd forgot to check. All in all, very pleased.

Very useful gadget and fits well into my jeans pocket. Helps greatly when setting goals e.g. 10,000 steps each day.

A great little gadget, extremely easy to set up and clear accurate display. You just enter a few details such as weight and stride and everything is calculated for you. It has a wrist band and clip, so I can clip it inside my top and it doesn't get in the way or look so obvious. I bought this to encourage me to move about more and it is definitely helping. Mind you, I had no idea I walked so far just doing housework!

Very accurate (if you're just walking). Don't expect an accurate reading for how much you walk in a day at work etc. For example, the pedometer adds on steps when you are driving your car. What this does need is a case or cover to stop the screen becoming marked/scratched. I am happy with this purchase as it does what I need.

This product was great for the first 30 days or so, absolutely loved it and it worked accurately, with lots of detail and information - definitely worth the money. However, after the first month it started breaking down a little e.g. suddenly resetting the days count, deleting an entire days information, flashing numbers, and generally beginning to fail. I'm not sure whether my one may have been faulty, or maybe it wasn't intended to be used daily (?). Return on this item was 30 days so I was lucky to be able to return it when I noticed these problems arising.

Wish it had a wrist strap and was. It black and less complicated

Superb bit of kit. Small, versatile, reliable and incredibly accurate. Throw it in a pocket or a rucksack and it'll just get on with the job of counting steps and miles or kilometers. Bit pricey, but what price quality. Own 4 pedometers - and this is the ONLY one that does what it supposed to.
