I try to run 4 to 6 miles 4 times a week and I have tried the Balega Hidden Comfort and the Ultralight. The Ultralight is perfect as far as the light and running sock for possibly sprinting but unfortunately it might be a little too tight as far as fit goes on my toe. I usually run with Asics shoes and when I tried on the hidden comfort, it felt very cushioned on the bottom and very mesh and breathable in the top but however it was a little bit not snug enough for running sock. Possibly would be good for a tennis sock. I really enjoyed the silver because it's kind of in between as far as cushioning goes it's lots of cushioning on the bottom and the top where the ankle tab is is perfect and they also have a snug fit on the arch so it's the perfect balance of fit, snugness, very messy and breathable on the top and extremely soft and cushiony with the seamless toes. The cushioning is medium high and the fit is probably Medium as well. It is extremely well balanced for a running sock for Middle to long distance running and regulates hot and cold temperatures for my runs. Not to mention it's got that silver ion technology on the bottom so my feet never really smell ever. It also is not too heavy for a running sock. The color options they have available are very pretty too!!! My next favorite would definitely be the hidden comfort bc they are so comfortable!

Both my husband and I wear these. They won’t slip down in your shoe, comfy, and last forever! A little pricey for socks, but worth it imho.

Excellent for impact protection, which makes them suitable even for boots and heavier shoes.- Moisture Wicking: Strong but not dramatically superior to other high-performance options; notably better than standard polyester blends.Durability:- Real-world lifespan is 12–18 months. Thread splitting typically begins around the 10–12 month mark, with large holes appearing by month 14.- Even after major wear, ribbing and arch support areas often remain intact, keeping the socks usable for lighter use.- Shoe fit likely impacts wear rate—friction points accelerate breakdown more than general fabric fatigue.- No real apparent decline of quality with washing (always cold, medium or gentle cycles, and low-heat drying)Cost Considerations:- Balegas are expensive relative to competitors.
