I like this aloe gel and it has that great cooling effect that you need after too much sun exposure. However, it has a lot of additives that seem unnecessary - especially the dye. It does absorb really nice and quickly into the skin so maybe some of the "extra ingredients" help with that. Overall, I will still use it, but might look for a more natural option next time.

As a ginger I know a fair amount about sunburn and aftercare of said sunburn. While I am diligent about staying out of the sun and using sunscreen, it's inevitable that I will get a few burn spots over the course of a summer. Since the sun has just decided to make an appearance here in MI I can't say how well it relieves a sunburn, but I have used it on my legs as a moisturizer. I found this aloe to be thinner than the Banana Boat one that is in my cupboard. I found that it dried in a reasonable amount of time too. My only complaint is that if they are going to market it as organic, that they leave out the blue dye. I know it looks pretty that way, but for those of us with sensitive skin it can possibly pose a problem. I have a blue dye allergy but have not been affected by this aloe

I am often around pools and have light skin, so the sun reflected off of the water will cause me to redden and burn in a short amount of time. This gel cools my skin and seems to prevent further discomfort, but a few of the ingredients are off-putting.The gel is thin, spreads easily, and dries quickly. I always have keep a bottle of aloe in the house and camper. I am a redhead and have a very fair complexion which burns easily if I’m not careful. Aloe is the best for sunburn. It cools the burn and prevents peeling. I also use it for insect bites since it takes the itch away. It also works on stings and burns. For claiming to be organic, there are quite a few ingredients on the bottle including blue dye. Why do they have to put dye in it, who cares if it is a pretty blue color? I like that it is made in Florida with the use of organic farming practices. It is thinner than other aloe I have used, goes on smooth and is not sticky. I’ll have to see if it works as well next time I have a burn or bite, it should since it is 98% pure aloe. If it doesn’t I will be sure to update my review.

I have eczema and finding gentle enough products is always a hassle. Normally I use Fruit of The Earth aloe gel. However, I selected to review this Aloe Vera Gel by Florida Sun care to see if it was comparable or better. While the gel is cooling while applying it does leave behind a non-sticky wet residue. This happens even with the smallest of applications. In addition, the blue color ingredient is not the greatest recommendation for people who suffer from sensitive skin. My husband used it on a recent sunburn and stated it worked to alleviate the burning sensation. Therefore, maybe it’s just my sensitive skin type that finds the ingredients questionable. I will give the rest to my husband and switch back to my Fruit of The Earth.

This aloe works as advertised. It soothes and calms the burn, and isn't sticky. What is also very nice is that there isn't a smell or fragrance with the aloe. The star off is because of the amount you get for the price. The two bottles are 8 oz each for a grand total of 16 oz (a pint). That makes the price a bit steep for the amount you get....especially since you can by the same amount for significantly less.

This Aloe Vera provides cooling on skin as it should for sunburn relief. The gel seems a bit thinner than some others but it is not runny and spreads consistently.

I used this on my leg to test it out. It had a cooling feeling, which was refreshing after a long hike. The gel is more watery, which is nice, since it spreads nicely on the skin. It made that leg feel better, than the one without, but not as moisturizing as others, I have used. Over all it is a nice product to use after being out in the sun, to cool and moisturize the skin. A good price for two bottles that will last through the season.
