Great for protecting yourself on a roadtrip if an accident occurs. The only reason I have it 4/5 stars is that i wish it would be better at recording cool things i drive through/by. It automatically records when a large bump occurs, so either a pothole or a speed bump, etc. When it records, it does 30 seconds before the "bump" and 30 seconds after. So only one minute total, but that should be perfect for an accident.

I have purchased two THINKWARE U3000 neither one of them will work, all it do is lag, will not connect to my phone I am so pissed. I have spent over $1000 on two u3000 cameras and accessories, neither one of them is working properly. My neighbor gave me his $80 Rove camera and it’s working perfectly.

Did a lot of research and decided to buy this for the below reasons: made in Korea, brand reliability, cloud connectivity, low power consumption on parking mode.Set up was just ok.. wished it was a bit smaller in size and had the cpl filter preinstalled as it’s tricky to align it correctly to camera lens. Bought this as bundle with rear cam. The cable for that is really thick and it was extremely difficult to conceal it into the trim.Now 4 weeks since installed, I find it not useful as compared to a cheaper dash cam I had before. Main challenge, it never gives any notification on the events in parking mode when I get into my car. My car has internet hotspot and dashcam says “connected to internet” but still I need to manually connect phone to dash cam to see the parking recording.The cheaper dashcam had a screen and it used to show any alert from parking mode, when I get into the car. I know a continuous internet connection required for real time notification during parking, but I expect the dash cam to alert for any events as soon I get back into the car.Having spent over $500 for the bundle, I expected this dashcam to let me know any alert while parking, it is the basic feature of any dashcam. Frustrated and reached out to support team - and the steps provided are to reset the dashcam and format the memory card! Seriously? !!

The only thing that would be better is if there was a green on the unit itself. All setting and videos have to be done through your phone

I should have listened to the negative commentary. The APP (two APPS) are something a newbie would write. You cannot register this dashcam with the included barcode. It provides a comeback with an "incorrect number." Wasted money and time. Please move one until Thinkware updates its APPS.

This product is by far one of the best out there my only thing is you can't connect to your car when your not near it. Like if I'm in my house I can not connect to the video but once I get in or close enough to Bluetooth distance I can connect and get a live view or whatever. It would be five stars everything else works fine the motion detection and the impact recording all great 👍🏽.

Expected top shelf quality for the money I paid. While the camera worked fine, I cannot get any videos on my Pixel 7 phone. Just buffers. After a few calls to Thinkware and nothing working, someone finally said that they are not set up for Pixel 7 phones yet. Ok. Worked on my IPad thankfully but the app is very slow and clumsy. The $100 Garmin mini has a better app. Plus I am unable to access settings on my IPad. Just a blank screen. Fortunately, while my pixel still (4 months later) has no video but will allow me enter and edit settings. I expect that they will upgrade things on their end to allow my Pixel to fully sync and show videos right about the time we see pigs flying. Do not recommend. For the money paid, it’s a disgrace.
