Yes the one we bought has the overlapping flaps

Q: what size is the opening?

Not very big. I can put an opened camping chair through it when it’s unzipped. Maybe 4’ at the widest but it narrows at the top.

Q: does this model have velco inside to accept a floor?

Yes it does. The floor is sold separate and fits very well
