Very Enlighting
Written by someone who has many years of experience of running a gallery. This really does cover what an artist needs to achieve before being represented by a gallery. Really helpful. For some, like me, a long road ahead!

Was for a resent
The book was wanted as a present for someone about to enter studies in fine art. It was intended that from the info availabl;e that an early 'business plan' could be started and maintained throughout the course and help guide them into making moey from the art.

starving to successful
I found this interesting as it was written by a gallery owner and it provided an insight into the art world from the gallery owners viewpoint.

Good and helpfully
Good bookHelpful but still the chicken and egg situation. How are you going to approach a gallery if you have not got a certain amount of sales behind you.

A must read for a professional artists
'Starving to Successful' - by far the best book I have ever read to enable an artist to understand the way Art Galleries work. The writing style is very easy to read, focused and concise, the content is extremely thorough and set out in logical and relevant chapters. The book exudes experience in the Gallery market and should be the staple read for anyone wishing to be successful in getting their work into Galleries. In addition, this book is quite short and does not take long to digest, it serves as a perfect reference point for an artists strategy in working with Galleries. Brilliant, thank you Jason.Ollie.
