I get compliments anytime anyone gets in my car. It can be a bit overwhelming at first as it is so strong. But, if you wanted less scent you could partially remove the foil seal rather than fully remove it. This would make it last longer and also be a bit more subtle.It is wax based so heat is the key factor for how long it lasts and how strong it smells. Also, location in your car is key. If you just tick it under a seat there won't be much airflow so finding a place that's a bit more open is recommended.It is about the same size as a 5 x 7 picture and about an inch tall. It is a black plastic box with some holes in the top where the blue wax peeks through.I couldn't tell you what flavor black squash really is, it's so unique. It's a sweet scent, very citrussy but not directly orange, lemon, or lime. It has a very clean smell too it on the front but has undertones of warmth, I don't want to say vanilla but there is something that dampens the bite of the citrus. Not perfume-y or too heavy.When it comes to replacing you just toss it and put a new one in. You don't have to replace the wax or anything like that.Over all it lasts just as long as something you stick in your vent, if not longer. However, this is the best smell on the market. You have to try it once to really know what it smells like and once you do you'll be hooked. I just cracked a fresh one to replace the one in my car and had to write a review. It's currently making my office smell amazing and I'm half tempted to just leave it in here and put another in my car. 10/10

Was turned onto this scent by a friend. At first I thought it would be a weird smell but it's a lovely scent.I've tried the melon as well, use one in each car to differentiate. This is still by far my favorite treetop smell.Lasts quite a while, at least 2 months.Highly recommend as an automotive air freshmen.

Nice smell and lasted about six weeks. It was very strong in the beginning and held pretty well for a month. The last couple weeks it faded to a faint odor. We live in Florida and this was a tremendously hot summer which might have effected its long term performance.

Got it today and decided to put it under my front passenger seat. I left a corner open so it would hopefully last long. But overall it smells really good and worth it for how much it goes.

Smells very clean but there is zero performance. Nothing like the reviews say so not sure if it’s a bad batch or just bad in general. I opened it up and could barely smell it so I decided to leave it in my Bronco for a few hours to maybe fill it with the fragrance. Well after a few hours I went to go check and it out and I could not smell nothing. Getting a refund and will be trying out another brand to see if it’s maybe theirs is better.

For my second job I do drive folks around as a side gig. I have had a number of passengers say they loved the smell in my car from this. I personally love the scent as well. Black squash is amazing. So far I am at 2.5 weeks in and it's just as strong as when I opened it. I'll try other scents to see if they are just as good as Black Squash or better. Next up is New Car Smell!Black Squash - 10 out of 10. Multiple people asked if it was an orange smell, but to me it doesn't smell like orange at all. Hard smell to describe really. Citrus-like though for sure. The smell was strong a good 2.5 to 3.5 weeks and started dying down gradually after that.New Car Smell - 4 out of 10. I knew some people liked this one a lot and some not so much. I don't hate it but I don't really like it either. It definitely does not smell like any new car smell you have smelled. Only one person commented on this one so far. A stripper. She said she wanted her entire house to smell like it. She loved it at least. Not my cup of tea though. The smell is far less strong compared to Black Squash. Even in the first two weeks sometimes I don't even notice it at all when I get in my vehicle. Other times I do.Marine Squash - 0 out of 10. I was hoping since this scent also had "Squash" in it's name it too would smell great. Nope. It had a terrible chemical smell. I have no idea what I can even compare it too. Going forward I am just sticking with black squash and that's it.

The black squash air freshener has a sweet, fruity smell to it. I can't quite put an exact scent to it, but I feel like I could get a similar smell if I left an over-ripe banana in the car for a day.I like the "new car" scent which is more like a clean linen kind of smell and I'd recommend that over the black squash any day. These air fresheners do last a long time, so it's a good value if you find a scent you like.
