Probably the only book on Biomolecular Crystallography you'll ever need!
Bernhard Rupp is best known as a famous biomolecular crystallographer and the creator of the teaching website "Crystallography 101". This book follows on from and compliments the excellent teaching material online for those wanting an introduction to the science as well those who wish to brush up on the basics of crystallography in a biological setting. Each chapter of the book is well laid out, beautifully illustrated and serves up all the critical information necessary for someone starting out in biomolecular crystallography - from the principles of X-ray diffraction through to data collection, phasing, structure determination, validation and interpretation. The vast range of subjects are covered without diluting the scientific or mathematical foundations of modern crystallography. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in protein crystallography as a valuable reference book or for someone who wants a comprehensive introduction to the subject.

This book was one of my mainstays during my research. I would refer to it whenever needed. A lifesaver for a researcher of the concerned field.

Best book for beginner is protein crystallography.

A very good and comprehensive introduction, which is nicely written. Especially the important statistics part is well treated (something which is missing in other books). Clear recommendation!

Necessary for crystallographers students. Although I'm chemist, I understood many things from this book
