Pain-free sleep is a joy.
My diagnosed carpal tunnel has worsened in the past few months and for the past few weeks, I’ve been awake from the early hours with sometimes quite excruciating pain from my elbow down my forearm, through my hands and into the very tips of my fingers. I’ve been referred back to the surgeons for the “release” procedure though obviously with Covid, it’s hardly going to be next week. I’ve misplaced the wrist splints that I’d been given by the musculoskeletal clinic, which did give an element of relief at times. It’s a very difficult sensation to describe to someone who hasn’t had it - it’s an intense, almost unbearable burning but not necessarily extreme heat or freezing cold, it’s deep deep within the limbs/extremities yet it’s right on the surface, it’s tingling but that doesn’t begin to cover the feeling of your hands being wrapped in thousands of nettles for several hours with a giant swarm of angry hornets also taped to your skin, it’s numbness yet you do still have a sensation of sorts - it just doesn’t feel like it belongs to your own fingers... In short, it’s pretty horrid and when it’s 3am and you’re not thinking entirely clearly, and the pain is making you cry, there are moments when you wish someone would appear and offer to amputate your arm, at which point your irrational, sleep-craving brain would rip their hand off, so to speak, though that might make their job a bit harder. And so I scoured Amazon for a night splint with 5* reviews and this seemed the most consistently praised option. It arrived within 24hrs and I’ve now worn it for two consecutive nights - and I’ve slept! I’ve been able to lie down, not propped upright, I’ve been able to place my arm wherever I wanted it to go rather than where the burning was the least intense, and in the morning, I’ve had the use of my hand and fingers as soon as I’ve woken up, as opposed to an hour of pain whilst waiting for my limbs to adjust to the daylight (sounds weird, I know, but it’s true). The design of the brace being one size and for either hand is excellent. The cushioning beads are so comforting, it’s difficult to describe the joy of the tips of your fingers resting on them. The feeling of gentle but definite support, cozy warmth, and those lusciously scrumptiously squashy beads is everything you would dream of (if only you could sleep) during those early hours of the night. It’s not far short of miraculous.Don’t be fooled into thinking that’s your day sorted too, though. This is for night time only and it’s only when I’m wearing it that I have relief from the pain/general symptoms. Once it’s off, you’re back to the normal unpleasantness, but its not marketed as an all-round cure, it’s only geared towards pain relief at night, and it achieves that far more than I could’ve hoped for. It’s bliss.I’ve snipped the end off a thin cotton sock and made a thumb hole too, to wear under the brace if it starts to feel a bit sweaty but that’s down to individual preference. I also keep my thumb tucked into the brace itself, rather than through the opening, again just because it’s more comfortable for me that way as the base of my thumb can get very painful too.On the basis of two nights of wearing this and those two nights being the most gloriously pain-free that I can recall from the past few weeks, I advise anyone who identifies with my descriptions of the pain to give this a go.

Surprisingly good recommend this 1
This is so comfy to sleep with it on my hand didn’t ache this morning so happy no pins and needles or the heavy ache and cramps it is firm but having the needs means it forms to you’re hand I didn’t even realise there was no metal splint happy to have found a support that works without digging in or causing swelling

Highly recommend for after hand surgery
I have just had trigger finger release and carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and the soft bean cushion is so comfy. I'm still able to move my fingers.I highly recommend this amazing support.

Splint works, but hot and irritating
I've worn this splint for the last 3 nights. Its my first splint for carpal tunnel and I can tell already that bracing and splinting my wrist is helping with my symptoms, so that aspect of this wrist brace is great, however, I am finding the beanbag style padding in the palm of the brace really irritating and uncomfortable. It is hot and awkward and I really just don't like it at all, to the extent that I'm looking at replacing it with an alternative with a simpler, lightee construction. The metal bar / splint that immobilises the wrist works well, so I think as long as whatever i have includes that, it should have the same effect, but I don't think I can put up with the lumpy hot padding any more.

Bulky but comfortable
I bought 2 of these as recommended by my rheumatologist for carpal tunnel syndrome. To be worn at night assisting with pain, numbness and tingling. I find them quite restricting and bulky but a small price to pay for the relief of symptoms. They take a while to get used to and after about 3 nights of waking up and pulling them off, I can now sleep in them all night. They have a little bean bag inside to assist with comfort which is quite nice.

Highly recommend
Like a previous reviewer I was experiencing intense burning in hand and fingers running up ny arm as well. This support relieved this and can now sleep. Even use it during day while watching tv although you can't do much with the hand while wearing it.
