worked on vintage boots
I have had negative experiences with Dardanos (shoe repair chain) and shoe goo, so I decided to try this. I followed the instructions, applying to both surfaces, letting it dry for a few minutes to become tacky, not stringy, and then clamped both pieces together. After leaving it clamped for an hour, and then not wearing the boots for several days, I can confirm the bond is strong and definitely worked. This was on 90s platform boots, where the boot is leather, but platform was a plastic grid with minimal surface area to stick to. Only note is that it's more glue than I could ever use in a lifetime, and does apparently expire, so I wish there was a smaller option

Perfect for Patches on a Leather Vest
I used to sew patches on my cut (leather vest), but gluing them on is so much easier. This Barge cement is easy to use and does the job perfectly. Very pleased.

Long lasting
I use these products for leather projects and love them. They adhere to everything I’ve used them on and the thinner makes it easy to apply

Damaged
Both cans were beat to hell. Huge dent in the can of adhesive. Packaging reeked of toluene when I opened it, and I had to air out my place (I wear a respirator when working with this, so I didn't appreciate the free gassing). Labels on both cans looked like they had thinner spilled on them. Didn't have time to wait for a replacement, so I'm stuck keeping them.Would've been 1-star but the product is working as it should, so whatever these poor cans went through didn't ruin the product (freezing temperatures I've heard can ruin a can, and the adhesive wasn't dried out). The seal on the thinner was intact, the rims of the cans seem undamaged, the lids fit tightly, and I haven't noticed any smells when I'm not actively working with them.If it was sold as "damaged product" and 15~20% off as it would've been in any hardware store it would have been 5 stars. That said I shouldn't have to write a letter for $6.

Great way to adhere foam insulation to the bottom of your EV battery.
If bonding foam, I recommend applying at least coats to the foam side. Using a paint roller, start by applying to foam, then apply to the mating surface (anodized aluminum in my case), then apply a second coat to the foam and wait about 10 minutes before mating the two.

It’s contact cement
If you’re buying this, you already know what it’s for.I’ve repaired shoes where I couldn’t stitch the leather panels easily, used this glue. Also used it for some vibram soles that were separating from the midsole on some Belleville boots - worked perfect. Used on some rubber gasket material for a subaru wheel arch molding kit where the adhesive tape was failing.Have used both methods - put it on, let it dry a bit (about half hour), and press…. And also put it on wet, immediately pressed and kept pressed for 24 hours. That works too.Would buy it again.
