Consideration to reliability of results
I'm not too sure about this test with it being urine. Mercury is very difficult to pass into the urine so I imagine detecting it this way would be very difficult.

Followed the instructions but it stayed clear rather than changing colour.I wouldn't recommend it to anyone (especially considering the price).

Worked fine for me
I used this test after having used the Osumex general test on my saliva which gave a strong result for dental amalgam mercury.I wasn't expecting much of a result as urine analysis can be iffy at best when it comes to urine concentrations of mercury. I had hoped that a low result may prove I had trouble shifting it out my system.The kit itself is quite fun to use for want of a better word. It felt like alchemy. Mix one phial with your sample in a test tube. Add another phial to a 3rd and vigorously shake. Then mix the two solutions.The kit explains the most accurate reading is made by looking down the tube rather than through the side. Doing either yielded quite different results. I took pictures of the reaction and posted them off to Osumex, I received a reply promptly and confirmed that my readings were abnormally high. .8 to 1.5 ppm. The nice man at Osumex told me generally people test at 0.05 so this was some cause for concern. He also urged me to test again to be sure.At that point the cynic in me sat up. Worried that this may just be a scam to sell more tests to gullible people. I did a bit of searching but for the life of me can't find anything to discredit it.In fact the previous review stating that nothing had happened, has made me really happy. (unless they were testing actual mercury). I can go to the Dr now and hopefully do something about it.

Really useful tool to assess heavy metal toxicity
It looks more complicated to use than it is. It was really useful to see what heavy metals I had in my body, and it helped to monitor the changes as I cleansed them out. I will keep buying from time to time to check I'm still on top of heavy metal toxicity.
