JOHNSONS COAT CARE DRY SHAMPOO

So I bought this for my very old and slightly pongy Labrador. He used to be happiest swimming so never really needed a bath but he is a very old man now and is happy just sleeping in front of the fire. The lack of swimming means he is now a little bit whiffy. Nothing too disgusting, just very strong dog odour. He struggles with the stairs now so putting him in the bath isn't possible and it's too cold to hose him down in the garden so I decided to give this a try. It is really simple to use, simply brush your dog to remove loose hair (which is quite a job in itself with a hairy, moulting labrador), apply the dry shampoo. Rub it into the coat and then give a final brush. So Simple. My dog loves a brush and the shampoo didn't bother him at all. It has a nice scent that lasts. I really can't fault it and at the price it's an easy and affordable way to keep my dog smelling fresh which means lots more cuddles for him. :-) Fresh smelling dog = fresh smelling home which in turn = a very happy dog and owner.

It’s a good alternative shampoo during cold seasons, smell good...because it’s a powder, you will expect to have dust everywhere but my only disappointment would be the fact is after using it in my dog with a good brush through, the hair are dryer and a bit rough ..other than that... like it a lot!

My dog hates water, so I was desperate to find an easy to use product that made her smell a bit sweeter while keeping her dry. This does the job brilliantly, and her coat is lovely an shiny after use. Unlike other reviewers, I've had no problem with the lid popping off or similar - it dispenses easily like talcum powder and doesn't make a lot of mess (we always lay out an old beach towel and it catches any stray powder easily). Good value for money - will be buying more.

Smells really nice, but doesnt seem to smell for very long, also powder had leaked into packaging, so not full container

I got this to use on my elderly cat, only occasionally, when I feel she isn’t able to keep herself as clean as cats do. She doesn’t like having it in her fur, so I only use it very infrequently.

This product left my cat's long hair a strange, gritty texture which is incredibly difficult to brush or comb through. Her fur is very well maintained, brushed a few times per day, and this stuff has made that something of a nightmare. When I get a comb all the way through the weird texture this left behind, it pulls out her hair. Yet you have to persist because it would be a tangled mess in no time. Brushing has always been a happy experience for my cat until this rubbish came into contact with her.This might be fine for short haired cats or dogs but a word of caution for those with long haired pets.

Whenever my dog smells a bit whiffy but I don't have the time or energy to bathe him (he's 35kg's) I give him a dry shampoo with this. He loves when I rub it in as he thinks he's getting the best scratches ever and it always neutralises the heavy doggy smell immediately and he smells fresh for days. I highly recommend this to every dog owner! My dog has also never had any reaction to the powder either which I was concerned might happen.
