Mystery RanchFull Moon

I was looking for a pack specifically to use on travel and more specifically, a cruise. I didn't want to carry a full backpack around the ship and this seemed to be a good alternative. It absolutely was a good option. I used it to carry wallet, passport, water bottle, snacks, sunglasses and a sun hoodie. That all fit in this pack pretty well. I used this to take ashore as well and just carry these same necessities. It has expansion straps so you can either cinch it down or let it go to full capacity. The material I got is the lightweight rip-stop material, I believe, and seems pretty durable. There is a front zipper pocket, an internal zipper pocket and then the main pouch where you would put the larger items like water bottle, light jacket etc. The back of the pack is padded and has some breathability to the fabric padding. This is a great small carry-on pack as well as it fits so nice under an airplane seat and can also carry your travel necessities - water, snacks, headphones, travel docs, sunglasses, keys etc. The only minor complaint I have is the straps slide out from the buckles easily and can loosen on you. Other than that very happy with this pack and see lots of good uses for this size range, especially for travel.

I purchased both the mystery ranch full moon and the chrome Kadet. The Kadet is manufactured to a much higher standard. Heavier nylon and water gasketed zippers for water repellency. Also the Kadet is less expensive. Not what I expected as Mystery Ranch has such high reviews. Will probably be my last MR purchase.

I like the size, a little larger than common waist packs, yet not overly large or cumbersome. The straps snug the main pouch when less space is needed. The interior has a rigid insert for support and is one of the features that I really appreciate.
