Good towels, like most things are becoming challenging to find. These towels are good. The terrycloth is soft but not too soft, and it's absorbent. The color was as I expected. My only reason for deducting a star is that the broad decorative border without terry texture turned out to be a drawback. It is so wide that it detracts from the towel's function on that end of the towel. I don't think it adds much to the aesthetic appeal of the towels either.

I've been using these towels by Cannon for gym use. After a few workouts, I have some thoughts to share. The towels are thick enough to be comfortable to use, though they are not as thick as my other 500 gsm towels from a 'non-name' manufacturer. They absorb sweat well and feel good against the skin. At 16 x 28 they are under-sized for a hand towel. !6 inches isnt very wide and the towels consequently do not look as good hanging as some of the towels that are closer to 20 inches wide. I only say this because most people think of luxurious in two ways, 1) for how it feels and 2) for how it looks. there also were some very minor blemishes. I found picks which I tried to picture if you look closely. Not a big deal, but it is surprising to see a name brand towel with picks, when my no-name brand towel was free of defects. I think the first reviewer said it best, when she stated these are "solidly-average hand towels". I think 4 stars are generous, yet 3 stars feels unfair. So, I will say just under 4 stars sums up my experience over the first week. I just hope they do not shrink, given how small they feel in comparison to our other hand towels.
