At 17, Tae Woong (Hyun Bin), a mathmatical genius, meets two people who will later become people he loves. One becomes his best friend and the other, his love. Tae Woong's best friend, Kim Jeong Kyu (Lee Sun Ho), also classified as a genius, competes for academic accolades. After Tae Woong beats him in an international math Olympiad Jeong Kyu commits suicide. During this same time, Tae Woong meets a little girl who develops a crush on him. However, he loses touch with her without finding out her name. These tragic events take their toll on the rest of Tae Woong's life. At 25, eight years later, Tae Woong is now a third class boxer and in unexpected events, finds Bo Ra (Sung Yu Ri), the little girl he once knew. Although this winter will be very cold and scary, winter is not the end of the seasons, but the beginning of the hope for a greater love.

Very unique
Not often do you see a drama start out with a key character dying so quickly. This drama had so many views of the impact the death of this character had on each one of the living characters. This is very unique because of the story, shows how truly one minded, don't want to hear other side life people live. you notice "i don't want to hear it" often said after something happens, that's how people are, its my way or the highway route. but from the beginning to the end, twists and turns and great ending made me give this rating a 5. Hyun Bin is a very good, well known actor from this and Kim Sam Soon, both he is very smart and secondary role.

Awsome
From the producer of Winter Sonata, came Snow Queen, a Beautiful love story that you do not want to miss. beautiful scenery and great acting.. as for her , she supposed to be sick with a rate illness but it was not a case where the girl had to run in and out of the hospital all the time. On the contrary, you will see an active, beautiful girl who had great taste for high fashion designed clothing, love life and spoil rotten. The story line is awsome.

Sad but beautiful
This is a very poignant story with excellent acting by Hyung Bin and Sung Yu-Ri. Both actors received the KBS awards for best actor and actress for their work in this drama. They also received an award for Best Couple in a drama. The story is based on a classic story by Hans Christian Andersen and adapted very well for this drama. Well worth seeing.

Beautifully done Drama
This drama stars Hyun Bin, who is an outstanding actor. The scenery in this drama is breathtaking. The story is very interesting. The music is beautiful. The version I purchased is done by YA Entertainment. It is a high quality deluxe box set with English subtitles and includes special features. I highly recommend this drama especially to those who love Hyun Bin and to everyone who enjoys Korean Dramas.

He is a great actor and definitely carried the role in this drama
I am a fan of Hyun Bin. He is a great actor and definitely carried the role in this drama, strong where he had to be while being patient and loving in dealing with a bratty and priveledged young women whose character at times was beyond annoying until he broke down all barriers.
