It is a,tool box but i use itti hold my toiletries and personal items. It is spacious, sturdy and not too bulky

Use for storing RC car parts and tools. Nice size for the money

TRUTH FIRST ABOUT PLASTIC TOOL BOXES. Plastic tool box dimensions are deceiving! The have molded supporting ridges inside. Subtract about 2" approx. off the box dimensions from the box front length dimensions for the internal length. This is a 14" box, but in reality it measures 12" true internal size. The depth of the box is deceiving also. The tray goes down about 2.5" deep from the top edge of the front of the open box with the tray in the box. The bottom space is 3.5" deep approx. from the bottom of the tray to the bottom of the box with the tray in. So beware of mfg. dimensions that measure outside bulges, etc. Also most internal tray handles are engineered badly because they don't have a high ridge under the handle that prevents things from falling through under the handle. Some plastic boxes hold a lot of weight but not like metal boxes which are good for indoors. The advantage plastic boxes have, is they dont rust from scratched bottoms sliding over a garage floor. This true 12" box has a tight latch and is sturdy. I use this for small gunsmithing parts and specialty boxes. One I label as my Smith and Wesson pistol tools, another Remington 700. I have one for shotgun cleaning patches etc. and another for pistol cleaning. The top tray holds small parts etc. I like the fact that this has a sturdy latch and not a molded plastic snap latch. it's a good box for pens, pencils, markers etc. It has a hole next to the latch for a mall padlock. I gave this a four star rating because of the dimensions like other plastic boxes and no lip on the tray to keep higher parts from falling through under the tray handle like most boxes.

Good strong tool box that I am using as a storage for my toiletries item.

It’s a good sturdy box

Dont know why finding an affordable large red box made of durable material is so hard. If i got a first aid box it would be 50 bucks for the size i wanted This is perfect. Im adhd, object permanence is a daily struggle. When i injure myself i am always running around the house looking for things. Remembering the place it last out them in a need, but not remembering where i put them after the need had passed. So i wanted a first aid kit on my bathroom where i could see it. Bright red, hard to miss, not under a sink or in a cupboard or in a closet. Not under anything, behind anything, covered by something. I wanted it visible at all times. This wasn't cheap, but it was affordable, decent size durable bright red and very visible. Highly recommend!

Overall, it's a reasonable small toolbox. Plenty of capacity, seems well built. Akro-Mills tends to build solid stuff. Don't know how durable this will turn out to be, but the latch is metal, not plastic, and I fond no "living hinges", so it bodes well for durability. That's the good stuff out of the way. I wanted a toolbox with a tray, for the little stuff that doesn't need to rattle around in the bottom with the heavier tools. This is one of the few smaller toolboxes I could find, with a removable tray...which, unfortunately, has a large hole in its center. Now, I understand why that hole has to be there...it's a consequence of the molding process they used to make it. That is a reason, but not an excuse, for this abysmally poor design. As I expected, the slight lip around the hole in the tray does not prevent objects in it from falling down into the main tool box at the slightest jolt. After a day of this, I glued up a better tray, without a hole in the middle, out of 1/4" plywood. It took me an hour, cost me nothing, because I used a small scrap I had on hand, and it works far better than Akro-Mills' abysmal attempt. I would encourage Akro-Mills to redesign that tray. Because it's pretty useless as storage for smaller items as it is. Other than that, this is a great toolbox for the price.
