Perfect for breaks
If your kids have tablets, this is a great tool to have around. We lovingly refer to it as “tablet jail.”We have two young autistic kids, and when the tablet needs to be taken away as a consequence, they will hyperfixate on getting it back, and not the way they should (changed behavior). If you have autistic kids or kids with behavioral issues— you know what I’m talking about! With this device, once the timer is set, that’s it. There’s no getting it out. There’s no emergency release. No amount of crying/begging/screaming will end the tablet entrapment any sooner. This helps all of us because it forces me and dad to stick to the punishment (or to the planned break), and it helps the kids move on to something else knowing they cannot con their way in to get the tablet early. Now, could it be broken to get to the tablet? I’m sure it could. This isn’t Fort Knox. I definitely wouldn’t hand it to a kid who isn’t afraid to destroy things. But, it’s sturdy enough to hold up to plenty of regular handling and use by an adult.Side note— we have a couple of the regular iPads (I believe they’re 10.2 inches) and an iPad Air. We use the Otterbox Defender cases. With the case on, both types of iPad (one at a time, obv) fit perfectly inside of this.

Useless. Don’t waste your money.
Completely useless. You can easily open it with it “locked”. It doesn’t even break the “lock” to do it. The lock is basically a 1mm plastic catch and because it’s so small and plastic the lid just lifts up around it. Utterly pointless. A toddler could get into to it while it’s “locked”.

Effective and recommended
Easy to use and lock. We store an ipad, 2 cell phones and airpods in it each night. We use it to set boundaries on teen after hours phone use. It seems to be effective. We have not had to charge it in three weeks and have not had to open it once locked. Recommend this if you are looking for a way to limit access to a device. The little holes and opaque lid would allow for some limited use of the phone if needed.

Not that functional
Great in theory but not really functional for actual use. You can’t stop the timer in case you need the devices. There needs to be a master override or something.

Depends what you need it for
You are going to hate or love this product depending what you use it for. Its good for dinnertime or family time, meetings and events where you would like everyone screen fee. Not so great if you want to use it to completely block off access to the phone. I use it to restrict my child's use even with screentime restrictions she still finds every little thing she somehow needs to do to remain on the screen. This helps however even locked i would still need to put it up somewhere. You can technically still use it if you really wanted to that bad, and the cover is slightly see through. It fits an ipad (minus a bulky case if you are putting in more items) a phone and even her nintendo switch comfortably. Bonus that you can continue to charge devices while locked.I WISH it had a failsafe password but again if you are the one you need to keep your devices away from, yourself, its probably best to limit how often you can access. If you lock by mistake it gives you 10 seconds to decide if you want to abort mission haha.

Doesn’t fit with Apple iPad case
Doesn’t fit with standard Apple iPad keyboard case. How silly… did you not measure an iPad with accessories before designing this? It’s like .1” too small 🤦♂️
