Works well, on the right kind of ants
I was a bit skeptical when I put these out. I had tried pretty much all of the store-bought brands of ant traps, with only limited success.I put these in my kitchen, where I had an infestation in my cupboards -- the little brown ants we call "sugar ants" around here. Within hours, the ants swarmed them, and a day later the ants were gone. I left the traps out, though, and it's a good thing I did. After three days the ants swarmed the traps again, and disappeared just as quickly. Three days later this happened again. The fourth time there were much fewer ants. After the "4th wave" I put out fresh traps and left them there for 2 weeks -- but no more ants appeared. The key, I've learned, is PATIENCE.These things do work, but you have to give them enough time to kill the whole nest -- at least 10 days to 2 weeks. One caveat, and the reason I only gave 4-stars: apparently not all ants are attracted to the same kind of baits. I used these in another room, where there was another infestation of apparently similar ants, near floor level. These ants seem to be ignoring the traps completely, though they've been there for 10 days now. I will have to find some other way of dealing with this new "tribe".But if you have the ants that are attracted to these baits, they do work well.ETA: As with many Amazon listings, the product description is a little confusing. The title says these are 5x6x7 inches, and the illustration shows a person holding a 10-inch bag. In fact that bait -stations- are little red things, about 2-inches square, and 1/2-inch high. There are 24 stations in the bag.ETA -06/11/24: I've just upped my rating of these to 5-stars. After years of constantly battling ants, these things have kept my home virtually ant-free for 2 years now. As noted above, if you already have an infestation you need to be patient -- it takes about 2 weeks to clear. After that, minimal maintenance will keep the ants gone. The trick is, as soon as you see an ant, put out a couple of traps, and within a few days you will again be ant-free for months. Thanks to these babies, last summer was the first summer in all the years I've lived in my home that was completely ant-free for the entire season. In March I spotted a few "scouts" put out a couple of traps, and the house has been ant-free since. Whatever these are, they really work.

Ants gone in 24hrs
Was having a problem with carpenter ants.put these out in several areas outside around the house perimeter and within 24 hours the ants were gone. Also used in a raised garden bed and around a maple tree. The maple tree ants were not carpenter and took longer to get rid of, but Maxforce greatly reduced the population. The adhesive did not work well on brick or weathered wood surfaces outside.

Pretty good
This tucks away nicely into corners, and it's worry free. It seems to work pretty well, but I still see ants occasionally. It's not 100% effective, but I don't know that anything would be with ants. Overall it's quite good.

No more ants
These little gems are great. Had found some ant trails at Mom’s house that we could t get rid of. I was looking for a Product with fipronil. I saw these and purchased them. They are not exactly decorative, but they worked perfectly. I see an occasional ant after two weeks. All I do is set them out. Had some ant trails on the exterior of my home and did the same. No more ants! And plenty more left in the bag. I don’t have to touch the pesticide or breathe the stuff, it is easy and it works! The sticky back is not very sticky so I don’t mess with it.

Kills the ants before they get back to colony
I used to get some ant baits from the local co op that worked wonder, but they stopped selling them so I figured I’d give these a try. They don’t stick very well at all on any type of surface so don’t expect them to stay in place if you use the adhesive. I put them all over the house the ants aren’t as attracted to them like the ones I got from the co-op. It wasn’t until I found them in my spice cabinet that I saw they didn’t make it to the colony (because we have dark floors). I put one in the cabinet and the next day they were all dead in the cabinet. They went into the bait, but didn’t make it out to bring it to the colony so I kept having ants. For the price I expected to be rid of the ant, not dead all throughout my house and then have more come in. The ones I use to get I would put out and we would be done with the ants for a very long time.

Zero Effective but Nice Art Installation for Ants
Bought these for my home on recommendation from the Ecolabs rep that services the building where I work. I bought double the amount and we placed them EVERYWHERE. The ants march right by them and literally play around them. I have sat and watched to see if any ant would enter any of these traps but some Einstein ant must have tipped his peeps off, because they completely avoid these traps.I've seen a few of them congregate outside of one of the traps, keeping themselves about 2 inches away and, perhaps, admiring the interesting architecture of these "buildings" that have been mysteriously placed in their path. But, alas, they get bored and continue on their path. They ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah, right past these expensive baits.I'm so glad I spent a lot of money to entertain the ants. Perhaps the enrichment of their environment will lead to a more harmonious life for them and for their future generations - but I'd prefer for all of this to happen OUTSIDE MY DAMN HOUSE!We've had them for a month with zero reduction in ants. Yay. :(Ants: 1Humans: Zilch

Worked Amazingly! No more ants!
This worked amazingly! I put it out with another type liquid bait. My ant infestation disappeared in less than a week. The smell is overwhelming when you open the bag that the baits are in, however, the bait by itself does not have a discernible odor once placed. I put the bag of extra stations in a tin. I have to hold my breath when I open the tin and then the bag to get out a station (and then quickly close the bag and tin). After I have the bait in hand, it's fine. The cats have not gone near the baits and neither did the children. I put them along the trails and hidden behind curtains or furniture so that they would not be noticeable or easily obtainable by aforesaid cats and children. I will definitely buy these again.
