Liquid Glass

This is amazing stuff. I gave it a try because I didn't much fancy the alternative screen protectors for my Nexus 4 mobile phone. It comes in a box and when you open it you get two sachets joined together. Is that all I get, I thought. One sachet has a cloth that cleans the device and then after a few minutes drying you use the second cloth to apply the "magic" liquid to all surfaces of the device. It takes about two minutes. Then be sure to leave it to dry, preferably twelve hours. The end result is just amazing. A perfectly smooth screen that feels silky and which does not show finger prints. So far it is perfect and after some days of quite heavy use there are no signs at all that I have even touched the screen. As I said at the top, unbelievable, but true. Compared with other screen savers it is cost effective too. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to protect their mobile from finger marks and scratches. Doubtless it would also work well on any similar glass surface too. Give it a go. It works!

Applying the liquid was simple and straightforward. Once completed the glass looked well protected and shiny. Fingerprints were virtually non-existant initially. However after only a few weeks, the finger prints and smudging have returned and in my opinion this means the layer has worn off and possibly the surface shall be suceptable to scratching. An expensive item for what I got. It may have been better to purchase plastic skins for my phone. Maybe the seller would like to contact me personally to discuss further seeing he was at pains for me to give a good review. Sadly, average is the best I can do as at best this is all this item deserves.

I have always used the normal plastic film screen protectors and was a bit wary of this product - however since my phone (HTC Desire HD) is over a year old thought I'd risk it (I'm a sucker for new products!). Application of the liquid went brilliantly - I used the cleaner sachet to get it sparkling clean - waited 15 minutes - then wiped the second sachet all over until the cloth dried out. I then left the phone overnight to make sure the stuff had fully cured. The screen now has a fantastic shine and immediately I noticed the screen sensitivity to be much better than with a plastic film. I keep mine in my pocket and often handle it with dirty hands when gardening or cooking - although it will still pick up greasy marks a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it looks great again. So far it seems to have no scratches - if that continues for 6 months I'll up my mark to 5 stars. Update 30 April 2013 - I'm still delighted with this product - my screen still wipes to a perfect shine and has not picked up any nasty scratches. So I've upped it to 5* - probably if your phone gets really hard treatment stick to the film type but for me this is perfect.

I bought a pack of this a couple of years ago and was amazed at just how effective it was. Not only in preventing anything sticking to the screen but also in making the whole display seem brighter and crisper. However, this time I have to say I am very disappointed. Having applied (as instructed) and left to dry for the specified time it seems to be having very little if any effect. The original meant that finger marks just wiped away with a light dust. The latest eaves finger marks and requires far more vigorous cleaning to remove. Please return to the original formulation/quality as in its current form I shall not be purchasing again.

I bought this only for its claimed oleophobic qualities. I have a couple of Samsung Galaxy Note 4s and I've worn off the oleophobic coating on the older one probably by using too many screen wipes (the type you normally use for glasses) and there's a noticeable difference both in the feel of the newer one with a silky smoothness to the screen and the lack of fingerprint build up compared to the older one. Because I have the newer, barely used Note 4 I can easily tell the difference between a screen that doesn't have the coating to one that does both in look and feel. I've tried a few different screen protectors none of which have fitted perfectly with most leaving a 'halo' effect around the edges and more importantly and certainly with the cheap ones I've bought don't have a noticeable oleophobic coating despite all of them claiming to have one so I've given up using them. I thought I'd give this a try and so far am impressed. It definitely puts a coating on the screen and it does have oleophobic qualities as the fingerprints are vastly reduced and there's also a difference in feel compared to what it fell like before I applied it. It doesn't feel like the screen on the newer Note 4 but it's a vast improvement compared to what it was like without any coating at all. I don't plan on using the screen wipes any more and will probably use a damp microfibre cloth to remove stubborn, greasy fingerprints instead. After applying it only 3 days ago it's too early to say whether this will last a decent amount of time although I'm hoping it'll last a few months at least and based on some reviews this could be possible although others suggest it lasts a short time only. It is a bit pricey for a single application which is why I've given it 4 rather than 5 stars. Although if it last more than 6 months I'll up it to 5 stars (and drop it to 3 stars or less if it lasts significantly less time). One thing I'm not expecting is any sort of scratch/drop protection above and beyond what gorilla glass already provides (and in truth would expect less than that anyway) but as I previously mentioned I've bought it purely for the oleophobic qualities. Pretty much forget all of the above. It lasted a couple more days and then back to being a fingerprint magnet again.

Very easy to apply. Best to do it overnight when you have a lie in the next day as your phone has to stay off for 12 hours. It is extraordinary how well this works! I didn't actually believe that it would stop smears and fingerprints but it actually does! No more need to polish the screen ! Bargain price also! Already recommended to a few people!

This is a great product. Rather than seeing the unsightly peeling screen protector, or the inevitable bubbles, this provides an easily operable surface which, as far as I can tell, doesn't scratch. I have used this a number of times now on different devices and seems to shoe consistent results.

*UPDATE 2 MONTHS LATER* The coating seems to have worn off now so I'll need to re-apply a new coating. I think I followed the instructions properly but can't afford to re-apply every couple of months, so I am a little disappointed and have reduced my rating from 5 to 3 stars. [OK so it comes in a box, not a tin. I'm usually very wary of the claims of this sort of product, this time though it really works. It looks like nothing is there but any marks wipe off leaving the screen looking like it's just come out of the box. I can't usually be bothered to write product reviews but this time I was moved to make an exception.]
