We used this product on some of the glass panels around our deck and they now go completely opaque every evening when the moisture comes down. the untreated panels stay perfectly clear

Cannot comment on the life time of the product - up to 10 years on new glass claimed, although it also says permanent in some places, but they guarantee 10 years on new glass, 3 on used glass.It does work very well, compared even to RainX, although be warned, you have to removed the RainX fully before this will stick. Best on glass never treated before.Its the same as the auto stuff - I called Enduroshield and they said yes, so you can use it on your car too. I have done 2200 miles over six weeks in the car and still have not refilled the washer bottle. I like to keep my screen spotless, so I guess it's just needing less washing as this seems a long time. And less washing of the screem means less scratching of the glass over time - if you keep your cars a long time, this is a good thing too. If you are considering this product, you might just care about these things.Updated now and after 2.5 years it's not diminished its effectiveness - windows on car and house stay much cleaner.The only word of caution - even with careful application, it does not cover anything like the amount they suggest - so it's even more expensive than you think!! Reckon on covering about half what they suggest and you will be happy.Expensive yes, but in a car, what price do you put on having clean windows all the time? In your house, what price for a clear view for much much longer between cleaning? If it lasts even 5 years rather than the year of so for RainX (on the house), I will be happy. But at this price, its a niche product.
