Not a good design.
I had surgery on my middle knuckle and thought this would be a good device to help straighten it throughout the week in-between physical therapy. It was not. While it did attempt to straighten, the design it poor. For it to actually work right, the bottom where your finger rests, should go at least an inch past your finger into your palm area. Basically it needs to stop the back joint from bending as well. This one also slightly curves on the bottom towards the palm end of finger. It needs to remain straight. The top part is far too big too. It could be made much smaller and have the same effect. I guess you get what you pay for, but they could make this device 100x better by just extending the bottom an inch.Important Note: If you have an injured finger and wear this, do NOT go around doing things or reach all over the place. The top will get caught on something eventually and snag your finger. It will not feel good.

Best Finger Therapy!
This is the best contraption that works if you use it consistently! I looked at those way over priced from 99.00 to 200.00 plus on those doctors websites (shame on you). I came across this and tried it because it wasn’t ridiculously expensive! So glad I did! I had shoulder surgery in February. Three tears and a bicep rebuild. At least 6 months recovery. I couldn’t go therapy like most people do a few days later. I had to let my bicep heal at least 4 weeks. Long story short after my first therapy session I noticed my fingers were swollen stiff and very skeleton like. Fast forward to now I have been diagnosed with dupuytrens contractor which also runs in my family, however I have something in my fingers called complex radial pain disorder. The cause is not known and they aren’t sure why it happens. So nothing much can be done for my fingers. So I have 3 of these that I put on my fingers and I sometimes rotate one during the day if I’m working. Like anything my fingers have improved so much after a few months I can make a fist again and I can write!!I’m am not fully recovered but I’m hopeful. I recommend this product if you have any type of finger therapy that in needed. I will do a follow up in a few months. I’m really pleased with my progress so far!!

Finger straightener
It works as shown and is made of metal. The spring really helps you adjust the down pressure.

Good for straightening finger
For the price this is a decent splint for PIP extension. It seems to be more secure and more sturdy than a "joint jack", and $50 cheaper. Worth a try to get your finger straight.
