What a JOY! The Joy Factory Monet Artist Paintbrush. SIX STARS!
Reviewing: The Joy Factory Monet Artist Paintbrush. SIX STARS!I need to start by saying that I am not an artist; I wouldn't know how to paint anything short of a child's paint by number kit. So, I didn't buy it as an artist tool. But this is one BEAUTIFUL TOOL. FAR AND AWAY -T-H-E- B_E_S_T stylus I have EVER USED. Brookstone sold something like this a few years ago and I've loved every second of the time I spent with them. When I found these on Amazon, I knew I had to get some. (I stopped at two, but may get more for my birthday.)The Monet is the most sensitive and responsive stylus of any that I have ever tried, and I've tried quite a whole bunch of them. I have a number of stylii that I bought on amazon that, frankly, don't work very well. (I hate it when I have to put down a stylus because my finger works better.)This has a great feel to it. The body of the stylus is brushed, so it feels expensive in your hand right away. And you'll immediately notice that the stylus has some weight to it. Not that it is heavy, because it doesn't feel heavy (or thick or cumbersome) in your hand. It actually feels just right for a stylus, substantial, almost confident that you will get the best touch screen experience. The metal is cool to the touch when you first pick it up but warms quickly in you hand. You can hold it anywhere along the shaft and you will get the same responsiveness everywhere. And there is this wonderful, almost exotic feeling you get when using if because the stylus is perfectly balanced! You can balance the stylus on your finger, which is a pretty cool trick for those who get into that sort of thing. The very best part about this device is how it "writes" or glides across the glass surface of your screen. Supposedly, it has a rubber "nib" but it doesn't feel like rubber at all when you use it because the motion is smooth and not at all bumpy The Joy Factory Monet Artist Paintbrush Drawing Stylus for iPad and Tablets, Metallic Pink (BCE105) , like some of those cheap rubber stylii tips. The tip feels like it has a texture to it, almost like touching the a piece of expensive velvet, suede or microfiber. Just like the write up says, you can hold it at nearly any angle to get the exact line width you want. I play a lot of games, and this thing never misses, always sliding right along. I appreciate that. Please note that I am not a sales person and I have no affiliation with the Joy Factory, other than loving this product. Also, they did not pay me or solicit me to write anything on behalf of the product. No product or company could buy a positive review although some have tried. This is just a great product, and it is about time someone shouted so from the highest mountain (errr..... building). Using the Monet is pure joy!

Love the feel but not the function
I love the feel of the stylus. It is well weighted and just begs to be twirled in your hand. I like the length and I use it for navigation and games on touch devices but not so much for drawing and writing. One the tip is large and two it does not always work... More skipping or double tapping than I want in a stylus. I really think they are on to something with the weight and style but it still needs more refinement in the area of functionality!

Great stylus for creatives!
I previously used an Adonit Jot Pro and a stylus I made myself before a friend let me use his Monet. The Jot Pro was nice, but you hold it like a pen, and I always had problems with my hand making marks on the screen where I didn't want them. I wore a fingerless glove to help with that, but that was annoying and my pinky would still hit sometimes anyway. When I tried my friend's Monet, it just felt very good and lightweight in my hand. It was a pleasure to use. And since you hold it like a paintbrush rather than a pen, NO MORE HAND MARKS! Being a lefty, this is particularly exciting, as smearing ink with our hands is an annoying consequence of writing left-handed.I love using it with my iPad in drawing apps like Paper. It's a real joy, and my hand fatigue level is a lot lower with this than with just my finger or even a pen-style stylus. I absolutely love it and carry it with me everywhere. I also use it on my iPhone for games like Draw Something and Plants vs. Zombies. No other stylus feels like this. It's so smooth and easy to work with.

Mystified: this stylus doesn't work at all!
After reading reviews, I am completely mystified! The stylus is about as effective as using a pen cap: It doesn't engage with the screen unless I add 5oz of pressure. (Yes, I measured this.) My fingertip will engage key strokes with just a featherweight touch, but the stylus requires a firm grip and enough weight that it sometimes engages the 3-D Touch on my iPhone 7. It takes forever to type anything! I tried it on an iPhone 6, and iPad... no change. How could artists possible use this? :) I'm contacting the company, because something just doesn't seem right. I'll update with any changes.

Best stylus I have found
This is a very good product. The screen touch is light and precise, no extra pressure needed. The form factor (design) is also excellent: slender and well-balanced, nice long reach, and easy to hold - I can use it for hours at a time, working with Kindle text, typing text messages & email, NYT crossword, as well as general navigation. I had been using the Bamboo brand stylus, which is pretty good. But Amazons main vendor was always out of stock, and other sellers jacked up thei prices to take advantage. Wake up Amazon!!

Great Stylus, Smooth and well balanced.
I love these Stylus!!! they are really good. I use them with my Ipad mini retina and they are smooth and perform flawlessly.I like them better than the Davinci battery powered stylus i bought for my wife.

Poor quality tips
The tip ripped after very little use. For the price, the tips should be replaceable. I will not buy another one. I do not recommend this stylus.

Best Everyday Stylus I Have Ever Found!
The Monet model of the Joy Factory stylus is my favorite go-to every day stylus. It is light and the wider back helps it to balance perfectly in your hand. Due to my disability, sometimes my fine motor skills don't work as they should. Having a long stylus means much less movement of the hands because you can reach far reaching letters more easily. This is important to know. I use these on my iPad and iPhone. Only use these on touch tablets because hitting a keyboard or even my home button wears them out much, much faster and unfortunately at this time they do not have replacement nibs. Also, these are not made for any type of image editing which require any kind of pressure. They will, as with any nib, wear down, become softer, and less effective. However, I have found these to last the longest out of any stylus I have found. And believe me, when I bought my iPad, I bought practically ever stylus on the market at the time and still believe it is far superior than any others.

This is the best stylus I have ever used.
This stylus is ergonomically great. I have used this style for several years. It’s light weight and I do not get finger/hand fatigue. They are hard to find so I was thrilled to find it here.

Work(ed) fine
Worked great while it lasted. Christmas gift for my artist daughter but she seems to have 'misplaced' it and is back to drawing on her iPad with her finger...
