HEATIT HIRD 80 feet 5 Watts Per Foot Roof & Gutter Snow De-Icing Cable

The product was delivered on time. I tested it before installing it and the wire felt warm after a few minutes, so it worked as intended. I used this product to replace older roof heater wires that had failed. It was easy to install and the kit came with plenty of attachment clips and wires. The wires seem to be working. Too early to tell how long they will last.

I used it just to heat a gutter and for that, it worked just fine. It kept my gutter flowing. I didn't answer the "Durability" question as I have not used it very long. It seems well built but we'll see if it holds up.

Its summer time here so its hard to know exactly how it will work out, but: - Installation went smooth - No missing pieces - Seemed to heat up quickly - Seemed well builtBut after this next winter, we'll know more! We're a professional gutter and heat tape company so we're trying to find a good budget/residential tape to use for all of our future installs. We'll check in with the customers this winter, see how the tape is working, and then decide next Spring which brand we are going with for all of our installs!

Product is well built. However you will need to order double the length you need. For example if your roof line is 50 feet long, you will install this at a pattern that will require double the length you think you need. Overall works great.

Came quickly which was good as our other one quit working. Looks as durable as the old one which lasted 5 years. Easy to install.

I plugged it in while it was still wound up, just to get a feel for how it would get. using it underneath my solar panels to melt snow in the winter... It all quickly melted together into one big lump and started smoking

Good quality. We use this on our steel roof. We anre in Ontario. Although we have ice guards on the roof we find snow and ice still builds up especially in the eves troughs. We leave on all winter. Helps to provide a slow melt to ice and snow dams. Make sure you measure correctly for the right amount of cable. Will purchase for another section of our roof next year. Love it!

Exactly what I needed at a reasonable price.However, regarding the Amazon delivery portion - Again, why isn't the driver ringing the doorbell when it is delivered? The driver always remembers to take the picture, but for some reason will not ring the doorbell, even when it is a standing request. I was home when this was delivered and was shocked it was on my doorstep covered in snow later that evening when I went to clear the snow! This continuing issue of not ringing doorbells doesn't apply to all drivers, some even knock on the door! It seems to be an easy thing to do!

Installed in summer and now have seen in action through this winter with high volumes of snow, very impressed with melting ability, was having ice damming problems and now that this is across the roof and in the gutter it works awesome.
