12" Oscillating Table Fan Black

I love this fan and have used it pretty much every single night since I got it. It is so quiet I never hear it running. And it is awesome with the amount of air it circulates around. I actually got this to replace the air flow I am no longer getting from a ceiling fan. I let someone else install the ceiling fan a long time ago that I wish I had not done, because I have installed these myself and did it right the first time. Since this person who should have known what they were doing, but obviously did not. They pressed on the movable part of the fan to check for sturdiness instead of the actual part the actually holds the weight of the fan from the ceiling. This was a small inexpensive ceiling fan mind you. But after only a couple of years it is already not putting out enough air to even feel it. And because it was not properly installed, if you turn it on high speed it rattles and makes to much noise for me. Just makes me angry to the point I will be having to remove it. In the meantime I decided to go back to old school and just get this stand up fan and I am so very glad I did. It is the perfect height, takes up very little space. And provides an incredibly good flow of air even at the lowest speed setting. The price was fair, I will mention these new installation instructions are not quite as good as they used to be. Maybe I am just getting old. But I have installed so many different things and put together so many things that good old fashioned common sense has gotten me through. So on your scale of 0 to 5 for that? I would give about a 3 rating. But, still it was not that difficult and actually I found a you tube video that confirmed the placement of the bottom of the stand. I was also missing one screw to attach the bottom but I am getting by without it. I almost messaged the seller to send me another one, but didn't want to bother with it. It seems to be holding up just fine. It is not heavy anyway, but am listing here just so the buyer will know. You don't have to do anything to make up for it. I just thank you that the fan works wonderfully, it is so nice and quiet and overall I am very happy with it. Thank you again so much and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good fan, especially with the heat of summer right around the corner. Thanks again.

I’ve been using the HOLMES 12" Table Fan in my craft room and it’s exactly what I needed. The airflow is strong and covers the space well, and I love that it has three speed settings to choose from and it’s durable. Even on the higher speeds, it runs quietly so I can work without distraction. The 75° oscillation does a nice job of circulating air, and the adjustable tilt makes it easy to direct the breeze where I need it most. Compact, quiet, and effective; this fan is a solid choice. Plus the price was right.

i was on the fence after reading the negative reviews, but I'm glad I bought this, assembly was a breeze, under 5 minutes, only tool needed is a small Philips, rest falls right into play unless your not mechanical, added some tie wraps to front guard as a precaution, plenty of air movement even on low, runs very quiet

It's fine. I bought another fan of this size and a different brand that suddenly stopped working after about 7 months. I wanted one I could get quickly because my room runs really hot. This one was easy to put together and is great at cooling but I am taking a point off because it seems to make a weird noise on the upper two settings that I have to compensate for when I'm falling asleep. It's also lighter weight and feels a little less substantial than the one I had before. But that one stopped working so maybe that's not a big thing. One thing I did want to mention is that the base of it is pretty big and is taking up a lot more tablespace than the one I had before. I may have made a different choice if I had known that ahead of time. It's a solid fan with just a few little quirks that would probably mean I wouldn't buy a second one. But I'm going to keep using this one and I'll update if that changes.

Based on this fan's price and reviews, I chose to buy it for my office at work, and am very glad I did. I like it's smaller size so it fits well on my desk without taking up too much space. It is quiet, powerful for its' size, and very easy to assemble. It oscillates fine but you can also choose to have it remain stationary. Other reviews mentioned that you'll need a micro-screwdriver for assembly, but this is not necessary. Although a tiny screw & nut were included in order to tighten the front screen to the rear, well, there are 5 built-in clips which sufficiently attach these two pieces, so that front screen isn't going anywhere! There's no need to get a tiny screwdriver and magnifying glass in order to install the screw & nut. :) In closing, I have no complaints about this fan whatsoever. - especially at this price level, this fan is an ideal choice! If I have any issues with it soon, I will update this review, but so far I highly recommend it.

Yes, it's quiet, all metal screens, works well, sturdy, but not easy to change the fan speeds which are combined with on/off settings. You have to reach around to the back, near the oscillating button and adjust a dial. If it is oscillating, this involves doing it quickly, before the fan comes back around, like timing jumping into a turning jumprope. If one is sleepy, this can be quite tricky. I sent it back for a fan with buttons on the base. The company could just eliminate the word "bedroom" from the ad. Other than that, I would have kept it. Recommend for an office or other room, but not a bedroom. Glossy black, attractive.

This Holmes 16-inch fan works really well! It’s powerful and surprisingly quiet, which is great for sleeping or using in the living room. The only downside is that it’s a little wobbly when it’s running on higher speeds. Other than that, it keeps the room cool and does exactly what I need. Overall, a good fan for the price!

Great fan. Powerful but still has a soft feel to it. It has 3 speeds. I leave it on lowest speed, which can sill give a windchill. And so quiet I forget its even on. And it does oscilate. Like the total- black colour and chic looks.
