Gorgeous little toy, small in stature but massive on detail
Gorgeous little toy, small in stature but massive on detail. My son loves Julia Donaldson books and whilst the Highway Rat may not be quite as good as her masterpieces The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, the BBC production on at Christmas was still received with great joy in our house and my son was desperate to get the DVD for his collection as soon as it came out. To accompany the DVD, I bought him this toy and stashed it away to come out only when the DVD was released. He really is quite beautiful, in his hat (with a feather), mask, cape and boots and even has a little ruffle on his shirt, a belt and a sword. His teeth are yellow like a real rat and he has a mischievous twinkle in his eye which is all very impressive given that he is only 9 inches from hat to boot. He cannot stand up unaided but this is not a problem as he can be held at the waist and manipulated by little hands wanting to re-enact the truly shocking story of the Highway Rat who learns a very important lesson.

Great value toy.
It arrived on time and well packed. Loved to bits by my grandson. Bought for his second birthday after he became obsessed by the animation. I am writing this after some months and it has stood the test of being dragged everywhere, so I'd say it's well made! In terms of hours cuddled per pound this was VERY good value in our case.
