Kids really enjoyed making it. Added bonus is that there bigger than they look.

Bought this for my 7 year old Son... he's built Airfix models ( with glue and about 5 days to paint and build ) perhaps a bit too long for a 7 year old. That's why this has 5 stars... it took him about 15 minutes to build. We haven't put the stickers on... something my son wasn't interested. ( I was ).... the model is perfect for a self build and durable to play with... it's a great balance, with great details. ( there's a negative, it would be the cockpit canopy (glass bit). It just looks like a clear lego brick... shame as the rest of the model is build similar to lego, it's finished look is very much more like an Airfix model. Suggest a pre-assembled part, or perhaps make the canopy chrome like or more reflective. But not wanting to end on a negative... it's great value for money, and durable to play with, with the fun of model making.

My 12 year old grandson loves this plane. He chose it - was on tenderhooks while waiting for it to arrive and when it came, he was reallyt excited, it was the same as described. He assembled it with ease and commented that there were no weak spots that might break off easily ( he has been disappointed with other models that broke during assembly, or poor fit). This went together like a dream. He is now waiting for his father to hang is from the deiling in his bedroom

Nice alternative to Lego because the model actually looks like the thing it is supposed to be instead of a blocky Lego-ised version. I bought this as a secret santa gift for my 8 year old son and he was chuffed with it (he somehow bought me a bottle of gin which I thought was more than a fair swap!!) Extremely simple to build and as a small, cheap gift the model is pretty good and will stand up to being played with afterwards

An interesting kit - easy to build and assembles into a fine looking model. It's lego like and the directions are simple. Probably aimed more at the plane mad 8 year olds it entertained my youngest boy (11) for half an hour. It's good to get them building in the real world instead of on Mincraft or the like. Overall a good easy kit - worth buying a few as they build easy without the mess of glue and paint.

My first experience of the quick build models. Made it with my grandson who really enjoyed it. It was challenging enough to be interesting for him - it took 15-20 minutes to build. He was delighted with how it looked - so much more realistic than his lego models.

Fixes together with lego fixings. Good toy not suitable for five year olds. I'd say 8 and above. flimsy tail snapped very quickly and stand snapped quickly. Bought the spitfire too, both nice mods, but some flimsy bits (propeller) that ruin otherwise good kits.

I’ve been recommended to use this seller by a friend, also regarding the kit as excellent for my grandson. Will use again.

I got this for my 5 year old son this Christmas and was very pleased with it. It's made of tough LEGO clone pieces and makes a convincing and playable Hawk model. I had to build it for him as it would be too hard for a young child (it was even tricky at times for me, an experienced model maker!). But it's easy to fix if a part falls off and quite durable. All in all, an unsung gem from Airfix.

Unlike other models from these manufacturer (see a review I wrote about the F22 Raptor), the Hawk is quite nicely made, the pieces fit perfectly.
