Search for Spock: A Star Trek Book of Exploration: A Highly Illogical Search and Find Parody (A Challenging Activity Book for Star Trek Fans)

So much Star Trek packed into 15 pages!
Okay, so I'm like, a HUGE Star Trek fan. Spock is my favorite Star Trek character (Sisko is a close second....). I also LOVE Where's Waldo. This book combines the two in such a fun way! I also love how they incorporated the title of Star Trek: Search for Spock in the book. (That's my favorite TOS movie!)There are 15 different "missions" to find Spock. Some of them were pretty easy, but I still haven't found him on a couple of the pages! Each mission has a quick explanation from a TOS character. There's a mob scene from Sigma Iotia II and Bela Oxmyx (awesome TOS episode). Next, you have to find Spock and Captain Kirk on Gideon. Then, Captain Kirk needs your help finding Spock among the Tribbles and the chaos therein! (Watch out for the DS9 crew too!) Spock and Kirk then get lost on board a Romulan ship (darn that cloaking device!). The next mission is to find Spock on the bridge of the Enterprise, amid a plethora of their rivals. THEN, Mister Spock got lost taking a shuttlecraft to investigate a bunch of ships all stationed near an asteroid field (this was my son's favorite page since he's OBSESSED with Star Trek ships!). Once you've found Spock there, then you have to find him on shore leave amid the shenanigans of the fictional characters created by the crew's minds (another AWESOME TOS episode (Shore Leave)!). Next, Captain Kirk is trying to get out of an awkward conversation during a convention of a ton of different species (how many can you recognize? I found the Andorians right away, and there's so many references to other episodes in here, I couldn't even begin to name them all) and needs your help to find Spock to get him out of it. Then, Spock is waiting to be picked up from Vulcan, but he's somewhere in the midst of a sea of Vulcans (Saavik is there, too (Robin Curtis AND Kirstie Alley) along with T'Pol, Tuvok, Valeris (with her knife!), Sybok, and a bunch of other Vulcans from the entire Star Trek series that I can't remember their names.... and I'm sure Sarek is in there too but I haven't found them yet). Whew! Then, you've got to find Spock near the Guardian of Forever. On the next page, you've got to find him at a Star Trek convention (HILARIOUS!). Once you've found him at ComicCon, your next mission is to find him on Omicron Ceti III, where the mind-altering spores live! (See if you can find the other crew members too!) Then, Mr. Spock, Mr. Scott, and every single one of the Redshirts are in an alien planet (along with Kor). You'd think it would be easy to find Spock in the middle of a bunch of Redshirts (all who are dying or already dead...), but I STILL haven't found him on this page yet. Phew! If you make it this far, then you've got to help Amanda help find her son at his Starfleet Academy graduation. The next page is my favorite page. After Doctor McCoy insisted that the crew try to relax and put on a musical performance, Kirk needs your help to find Spock so he can ask for help about an anomaly near Farpoint Station. The whole page is a sea of musicians, including Spock playing his lute, Data playing his violin, Picard on flute, Scotty on bagpipes, Riker playing trombone, and Q and his Mariachi band. There's also shoutouts to several other characters from teh series and their various instruments. LOVE this page. Even though I found Spock very quickly, it was so much fun looking for other musicians from the show. Whew! Then, on the back page, there's also a checklist of all the other characters and items you can find. I haven't found them all yet!

Bought it for my little brother
I bought this (and some Star Trek Golden Books) for my little brother in the hopes that I might begin indoctrinating him into the Trek fandom early, he's 3 🤣 he absolutely LOVES this book, Spock is already his favorite character, though even as an adult looking through some of it... Yeah I can't find Spock on a few of the pages 😅 it's the size of a standard Where's Waldo (or Wally if you're anywhere other than the US, idk why we got Waldo instead but it's whatever) book and of the same quality as well. Great for any collector or older brother trying to spread the good word of Roddenberry.

Fun Star Trek take on a Where's Waldo type search adventure
Being a Star Trek fan, I ordered this parody book as soon as I saw it was available on pre-order. The book includes fifteen different searches for Spock with each search being introduced by a cartoon version of a Star Trek character.I found the searches to range from easy to much more difficult. The fun part of the book is that once you have found Mr. Spock in all fifteen, the book then gives you more items to search for in each of those adventures. That will provide many more hours of enjoyment. The book is nicely made with a hardback cover and full color illustrations on a nice weight paper. I am enjoying this for myself and will be buying a couple more for gifts for some family members this holiday season.

Purchased for my bother who is a trekie and in his forties.
My bother and I as we get older really want less things for Holidays. This was more of a gage gift with added benefits because he really enjoyed it, he even remembers all the themes in which you must find Spock. If you have a trekie in your life and you want to make he/she happy, I highly recommend this one.

Dammit Jim, where the hell is Spock?
Ha ha ha ha ha! This book is just funny. Love all the different ways Spock is hiding out on the pages. I do wish he was a little harder to find, but then I guess this book was really meant for kids, so I have no room to talk. I had actually intended this for my elementary classroom, but there is some language (McCoy says "dammit") and the page with the red shirts is questionable for school. Probably nothing I would have shielded my own kids from when they were little, but not okay for school. That's alright--gives me an excuse to keep this book for myself!

Not a Simple as you might think!
Very well done! I bought this as a gift for my husband. I try to find unique, Star Trek items for him. He was very impressed, especially liked how each search is based on an episode! Beware, it's not as easy as looking for a blue shirt and pointy ears! This book is great for your Terkkie!

Rather disappointed, because the quality of the drawings is really bad. You can see that it was composed using software instead of being a "proper" painting, as quite a few of the faces are really blurry - like when you try to scale up a low resolution image. Not recommended. Plus Spock is way too easy to find on every picture.

Fun for a few minutes!
Like where’s Wally, but with a Spock theme. What more do you want? Was a good laugh in the office for about 5 mins!
