The actual spots where it is to color are very small, I don’t think it would be easy

Q: May we use normal permanent markers (ie a Sharpie) to have a bigger variety of colors?

They must be oil based Sharpies otherwise they will wipe off.

Q: Do I need to seal these? And if so, with what?

Sealing is not required. The kit is designed to work as is!
