Heye 29508 Puzzle, Black

My husband bought this 3 years ago for me. Just got around to trying to do it now. Completed a 1000 piece the week before so moved on to this. Well....it’s impossible. I thought I was going mad....I couldn’t even complete the border. So many pieces are alike, and several can fit one place. I just could not get the top to work, I had an extra piece on the left. The puzzle is not cut precisely, so you don’t get that definite feeling that a piece is in its correct place. I really was despairing, couldn’t understand why I couldn’t get it sorted. Then I read the reviews on here! Realised that the manufacturing process is not great, and there are lots of duplicates and/or missing pieces, and that the puzzle is done in two halves. That explains why my pieces didn’t fit exactly about half way across. I’ve given up as it looks like the mistakes with the pieces will make this too frustrating and perhaps impossible to complete.

2000 pieces and 2 3rds the way done and I realised that the puzzle was not connecting together in a whole strip going through the centre,I'm so disappointed £25 later and I'm left with a useless box of bits. It was going to be mounted and become my room feature, but now I'm also very dubious about purchasing anymore Heye puzzles. Also I couldn't return it as I can't package it up because it's no good to anyone.So people BEWARE on how much you spend !!

Hi I'm back to review my last review,last review got 4 stars I gave it that because reviews from other people mostly complaining about bits missing,WELL now it gets 5 stars all 2000 bits there beautiful picture,good quality,the only very little downside was after ordering it I could've got about £15 cheaper elsewhere but hey heye

Disappointed - I was rather excited when I ordered this puzzle but when it arrived the two bags of pieces in the box contained identical pieces for only half of the puzzle. Amazon were excellent at sending me a replacement which arrived today but my excitement again changed to disappointment when this replacement puzzle also contained duplicate pieces. The quality of the puzzle is very good but I just wish the manufacturing process and quality control at Heye was comparable. This will now be returned for a refund and I will hunt for another puzzle from a different manufacturer.

Great picture, difficult - very difficult, enjoyable to do. Usual high quality Heye pieces, so frustrating to find one piece missing - and no it wasn't dropped or eaten by the dog. Not fair to only give one star as I did get a lot of enjoyment, but still irritating.

Wow is this a difficult one! I had problems finding somewhere to make it up as its very long, but beautifully photographed. Tiny pieces too.

Having read the other reviews about missing pieces I thought, well they're a puzzle manufacturer, they only have one job and must have got their act together by now, but no. We started with the edge pieces, as you do, but after going through the box piece by piece at least three times, there were at least 22 pieces missing. Also, while the picture looks nice and sharp on the box, when blown up to puzzle size, it was obviously a compressed jpeg image and a lot of detail was lost which made finding prices very difficult. Can I give it 0 stars?
