I first discovered these some 15 years ago then lost the book. I'd promised to find them after organising an arts and crafts expo at our housing scheme and found this book on Amazon. They are pop out cardboard sculptures that can turn inside out, much to the amusement, and bewilderment. of children of all ages, 5 to 95.

Look excellent
Looks an excellent book, think card models to make. It's a present so I won't know how they turn out.

Fun to assemble Ecsher inspired polyhedrons
If you love Escher, and I love Escher, then you will enjoy these polyhedrons with Escher designs printed on them. Fun for kids (of all ages) to assemble. I assembled these with my children years ago. Now I'm assembling them with my grandchildren. Book shipped promptly. I wish it would have been packaged in a hard box instead of a padded envelope. I also wish the authors would reprint the hard-covered box set.

Great book for fans of art and/or origami!
I was afraid that we wouldn't get our money's worth from the book. But my daughter is a huge origami nerd and has grocery bags full of her works...so I grabbed this for her for Christmas.I would say that for a 10 year old, there are too many words. Actually for a dude that just wanted folding tricks for his daughter - there are also too many words! We got through the first couple pages and just started tearing out pages to fold. However, there is some great text if the art is more your thing! In any case, with that said, we definitely got our money worth after spending a half an hour folding one piece with my baby girl. Only word of caution, these things are made of heavy duty paper stock. Do not soccer punt the decidonatorhexagon (12 sided dice thingee?) thing, it hurts and will bruise your foot!

My students loved them!
If your a visual arts teacher, art student or math teacher that likes fun challenges this is the book for you!! Escher wanted to see his designs move, this is one way he did it. Explore his tessellations, then make your own and make them move by putting them into a kaleidocycle. It takes some work, but my students loved working with these. I even figured out how to make a kaleidocycle into a color theory study tool. Enjoy the possibilities!!!
