I wanted red, white & blue for a project; when I got it I knitted a blanket square, just to try it - and it came out (more or less) as the American flag! The colours in this print are lovely and the photo does not do it justice. It knits up beautifully and is nice to knit with. I have heard from other reviewers that it is a rather rough yarn best suited for blankets and such but I find it quite soft. I also understand that if it is washed and tumble dried it gets even softer but looses its shape over time so I shall see how my hats fair, I will keep you posted. A lovely yarn in a nice big ball (144g, 5oz ball) slightly smaller than the plain colours as they are 7oz balls but in 2 balls I had enough to make 2 bobble hats 3 pompoms (one went wrong so had to remake it) and a pair of gloves.
