Copper clad Steel, Honest Seller
This cable was originally sold to me as "solid copper." I left a one star review with the photo showing that it was, in fact, copper clad steel, not solid copper. The seller saw the 1-star review and took it upon himself to give me a full refund, even though I did not request it. We exchanged messages and he offered an explanation. English is apparently not his main language and he mistook the word solid to mean "not hollow", which of course is not correct. He has since apparently changed the description to reflect that it is copper clad steel, which is used for more economical installations. Great Amazon seller. You don't often see this sort of honesty. I've updated this review to 5-star as a result. I hope he does well.

Works great
Easy to use attached to rods all the way grounded to grass and dirt. Definetly need lightning rods where we live.

Strong and bright
I thought it would be softer; easier to bend

Solid copper is hard to bend, which is fine.
I needed this for a ground rod for my solar array im building. It works great for grounding, however i wish i bought more of it.

As advertised
Is what it says it is

Not fully copper
This is a steel wire with a copper coating. Make sure you check your local electrical code before implementing this. Since it is steel, it is not as flexible as a pure copper wire although it is more durable. Easy to implement granted you have the right tools.

Nice thick quality wire
I have been doing some copper crafts and wanted a thicker copper wire than what I've been able to find in my local lumber store. Granted I'd prefer pure copper, but for my needs this will work.

Good Quality for Copper Plated Steel Wire
I find the product page header a bit confusing as, depending on how you would punctuate it, you might think at first that this wire is solid copper, as in “HIBUMFX Soft ANNEALED Ground Wire 'Solid Copper' Bond Grounding Conductor 4 AWG 50 FEET” when in reality (and clarified in the description), this is a steel wire with a copper coating.Depending on where you shop, you can get real 100% solid copper 4 ga. wire for about the same price as this copper clad steel wire, and even though this wire is purportedly annealed, full copper wire is still more flexible and bendable. If this is used as an electrical service bonding wire, I also strongly suggest that the user carefully consult the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and applicable State Electrical Codes as to the legality of copper clad steel bonding wire as there is some question as to whether it is compliant.Admittedly, it is by the nature of steel, stronger and more stretch resistant than solid copper wire, so it may be useful where high tensile strength is required, but in most ground bonding applications this is not likely to be a factor.
